I try to find positive aspects about things in life.

So let me think.

The duct tape on the broken window kept most of the wasps out.

No rats crawled out of the holes in the mattress

The water in the sink worked (friends in hotel across the street let us use their shower)

Didn't see anyone looking through the holes in the walls.

The AC blew on the floor so your feet didn't get hot.

The cigarette burns in our nonsmoking room were mostly on the floor.

Didn't have to worry about locking ourselves in the bathroom because the wood around the lock was gone and the door wouldn't shut.

Most of the cockroaches in the bathroom were dead.

The hotel seemed nice based on the website. Upon arrival, the staff was very nice. Once you venture out the lobby, a total different experience unravelled. Our room was very bad. The room smelled. There were burn marks on the bedding. The bathroom was dirty. The walls were moldy and crumbling around the baseboards. The door wouldn't shut properly. We left very promptly in search for a new hotel. Dont stay longer than 15 min or else they will charge you for a full night whether you stay or not.

I thought the motel looked OK based on the website, but once I got to my room, it was a different picture. The walls had holes, cigarette burns in the bedding, the carpet felt damp, there were hairs in the shower, and the room smelled so strongly that my eyes burned. Little bugs and spiderwebs were in the room corners. Upon waking, I noticed garbage and a beer botle in the grass in the "courtyard" Great price, but aweful accomodations. Though, the staff was very friendly.
