this was our 1st try at any of the America's best Value Inns.... We will never try this brand again! this place was worst we have ever run into... $15/night would have been too much. They stopped keeping this property in even "ok" condition years ago! Staff was even worse, if you can believe it.

My cycling buddy and I spent two nights here during the annual Hotter N' Hell 100 ride.
Have you ever walked into a city dog pound to be overwhelmed by that distinct smell? That is the exact smell we were greeted with when we opened the door to our non-smoking room.
Needless-to-say, we immediately turned around and headed back to the office to request another room. Being an event weekend, our only other choice was a smoking room.
Much to our surprise, the smoking room smelled much better than the non-smoking room. Mindful, it wreaked of smoke and stale beer, but it was far, far better than our first room.
In summary, if you are faced with spending your night in your car or spending $100/night at America's Best Value Inn located in Wichita Falls over Hotter N' Hell weekend, I would *seriously* consider pulling over and leaning the seat back.

The duct tape on the broken window kept most of the wasps out.
No rats crawled out of the holes in the mattress
The water in the sink worked (friends in hotel across the street let us use their shower)
Didn't see anyone looking through the holes in the walls.
The AC blew on the floor so your feet didn't get hot.
The cigarette burns in our nonsmoking room were mostly on the floor.
Didn't have to worry about locking ourselves in the bathroom because the wood around the lock was gone and the door wouldn't shut.
Most of the cockroaches in the bathroom were dead.

The hotel seemed nice based on the website. Upon arrival, the staff was very nice. Once you venture out the lobby, a total different experience unravelled. Our room was very bad. The room smelled. There were burn marks on the bedding. The bathroom was dirty. The walls were moldy and crumbling around the baseboards. The door wouldn't shut properly. We left very promptly in search for a new hotel. Dont stay longer than 15 min or else they will charge you for a full night whether you stay or not.
