We visit often and just love the area. Nice local people, wonderful views, nice motel setting at the lodge with good food and a pool. As a get away from everything, hike, walk, or just drive around vacation looking at mountains it cant be better. Lots of our vacation pictures are on tpicks.com

I had never been to Terlingua before but by the end of the first day I knew I would be back at least once a year.
The staff really made us feel at home. If there was anything we needed, just ask.
The entertainment was some of the best we've seen in a long time.
The cabins are rustic but always clean and neat.
We realized that people come from all over the world to visit this ranch. We met a couple from Germany and were told that several other people from Europe had just booked that week.
When you go make sure to take a good book, sunscreen, swim suit and a smile.

We had a really fabulous time and hope to go back soon. It was so peaceful and quiet, and the view! watching the sunset and the stars come up from the deck was an unbelieveable experience. It was well worth the long drive to get anywhere, we only wish we could've stayed longer

A coffee maker in the room and a little heat in the pool would be nice, but it won't stop us going back as soon as we can

When I move to terlingua ranch In nov 2003 we could buy water at the ranch office for 2 cents a gal potted. Now we have to pay 15 cents a gal for potted water, 3 cent a gal for non-potted water ,plus we have to haul the water to our place,when I ask why it was so high, they told me, water in town was 25 cents a gal, but water in town has be bottled ,shipped, labeled, the bottles have to be brought so they have overhead to meet. Now terlingua has an overhead to, but it's only to pump the water out of the ground and the repair on the pump ,line and a little electria power,The overhead is not that much compaired to a company that sells bottled water in town.I can drive to study butte and buy water for 8 cents a gal and it potted water same mileage
