The beds were made slopy with the white part of the bed skirt showing (the part that is supposed to go in between the mattress and box spring). The bathroom had hair behind the bathroom door, along the side of the tub and in the tub. It looked like someone just did a clean sweep of the floor and didn't think to check behind the door. The person at the front desk was quick to send someone to the room, however when the person got there they were very tacky and then sent another person to clean it up. The person that actually cleaned it was very nice. There was make-up on the sheets in the bed I was in. The smoke detector was missing, too. There was a nice hole in the ceiling where the smoke detector looked like where it was supposed to be.

Upon check out I brought this to the attention of the manager on-site, who was quick to apologize. I thought they needed to know that their staffs are not doing what they say they are and that the quality of the room was not up to par. He was kind enough to offer me 20% off my next stay, which I kindly declined as I won't ever stay at this hotel again.

This hotel was very clean, comfortable, and had friendly customer service. The rooms are clean, comfortable and included a small refrigerator. The breakfast was your typical free breakfast and the service was friendly. The staging of the food was well thought out and one had plenty of room to look over it all. The hotel should update the selections on their cable system. Would return next time we travel to San Angelo.

My family and I were here for 3 nights and within those 3 nights, my 2 yr old toddler got a nasty cold due to the mold in the AC unit. The maid service is lazy and horrible and I was there when they clean my room which took less than 5 mins! They DID NOT USE DISINFECTANT IN THE BATHROOM NOR DID THEY VACUUM OR WIPE ANYTHING DOWN. PLUS I HAD TO TELL THEM TO CHANGE MY SHEETS BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT PLANNIN ON DOING THAT THEMSELVES!. The rooms are smelly (with mold ) along with the bathrooms smelling like someone just used the bathroom and no fan in the bathroom to help with the smell.The carpet was extremely dirty and looked like it was never cleaned. Then when we asked the staff up front for a bowl to heat up my toddlers soup, they informed us that they didnt have any ?? I will be coming back to San angelo for work but I will never bring my family back to this hotel for fear of my toddler getting sick and even one of us!. This was definitely a huge disappointment !! I do plan on contacting the owner of this hotel and giving him a piece of my mind as well !!!

As with other reviewers, I cautiously booked based on the price, but because of other reviewers' comments, I was pretty confident we would be pleased. And we were! We stayed 3 nights (October, 2011) and were taken care of the entire time. The maid service was impeccable and the front desk was very helpful. Once all of the renovations are completed (including the new restaurant), this hotel will become one of San Angelo's "best kept secrets".
