had to get off road due to weather and spent night at hotel..manager and staff very friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure to stay there..hotel is old but staff made up for it!

this motel ain't no totally bad. Yes it is old, it is outside corridors and they didnt tell ,them breakfast and general services are just poor to average but the room (worn) was passably clean to spend one night...just in case you find yrself on the Hw and are in need of a bed. They tried to be friendly and helpful but it is the place that needs a full restoration. I find the reviews down here a bit severe.for what we have experienced here. But next time I would look for another place.

Filthy. Upon check-in of our "non-smoking" room, we entered to find a pair of someone's sunglasses, candy wrappers, and a pack of cigarettes. Thought desk must have made a mistake and sent us to an occupied room ... so we backed out and got another room. Walked in to second room to find a container of yogurt, bedding and chairs out of place, a blackened bath tub with a used bar of soap and a shampoo bottle laying in the tub/shower."

Couldn't get out of there fast enough. Freaky Deaky.

I was very upset when we pulled up to see that it was an outside room access hotel. The La Quinta web site does not have one picture showing the outside access. Checking in was a nightmare. The young man behind the desk seemed confused and a little loopy, he also did not have a name tag on. Our room keys did not work the first three times he gave them to us. Then he stated that the room would have to be "re-keyed". We did not get into our rooms until almost 45 minutes after the initial check in process.

The rooms were absolutely horrible. They were dingy and smelled of stale smoke, like they used to be smoking rooms. The comforters on the beds felt old and not plush like most hotels. The wireless internet would not work, unless you were sitting in the lobby. Breakfast was just pathetic. Everything seemed dirty and sticky and the food was slightly stale, except for the waffles. But, who wants a waffle when its a hundred degrees outside? There was no fresh fruit as advertised on the web site. It was just an all over bad stay.

Next time my colleagues and I are in Nacogdoches, we will be booking earlier to ensure a room at the Holiday Inn or Comfort Suites. Those hotels were full at the time of our booking, so we went with La Quinta. We will not be doing that again.
