Silk Stocking Row BnB is a gorgeous 100+ year old home that has been beautifully restored. The hosts, Chuck and Wilene, are the perfect BnB hosts. They are very personable, but in a way that makes you feel you can have as much privacy as you need. The house was very clean which is very important to me. We were in the Renaissance Room with 2 comfortable twin beds. The hospitality bar is a very nice touch with snacks and drinks. Breakfast was over the top! Not being a gourmet chef myself, I can only describe the food. We started with a beautifully and deliciously garnished half grapefruit. After that we were served a decadent stuffed French toast with raspberry sauce and a side of sausage. Of coarse we were served juice and coffee. I learned so much of the fascinating history of Mineral Wells from the available literature. This house was actually built as a boarding house for a doctor's wife who needed a hobby. They supplied housing to the tourist that flocked to the healing mineral baths. We went on a walk around downtown from the house....no driving! We were late for the shops to be open, but we enjoyed seeing the many sights including the 14 story Baker Hotel that was the 2nd hotel in the US to have a pool! Unfortunately it is closed, now.

Just want everyone to know what a great stay we had at this B&B! We rented some rooms for my daughter's birthday, and had a sleepover for her and some friends just last weekend. They had a blast, and the property owners made it just perfect! They had a lovely breakfast, and the night before even made the girls some homemade cookies and pink lemonade! The girls had a blast dressing up in their "old" hats at the B&B, taking pictures in them, and sitting in their beautiful dining area! We could not have asked for a better time and my daughter will always remember it!
Of course, I cannot forget to say that the rooms were lovely and even my husband didn't mind hanging out with a bunch of girrrllls!! I will be sure to recommend this property to anyone needing a place to stay in Mineral Wells!

I stayed at Silk Stocking for several weeks last November and December. Every place in town was full and they were open during more work time - Monday - Thursday.

The rooms are delightful to stay in. The whole house is really pretty. The snack/goodie bar for guests upstairs was cool, too.

But the BEST part are the hosts - Willene and Chuck. They're like staying with family but they give you all the privacy you want.

The breakfast is to die for. Grits too good to only call grits! Creamed fruit that must be the way Paris does it. All very yummy.

My boyfriend and I stayed here and we loved it! The rooms are nice, clean, and very well decorated but I think our main draw was definitely the owners. They were so fun, sweet, and truly interested in making our stay pleasant. The breakfast was great. They were also very considerate in our travel plans and our time schedules. I appreciated it and will recommend this place to others.
