Is it me? Last year I visited this place and was over the proverbial. I'm not saying it was out of this world but it ticked all the boxes for me and my wife. We had a great time. It's February 6th today just nine months later and I'm looking to book again. WOW what did I miss. The prices have gone berserk. Last year we went here from Doncaster in May and had a great week for just under a thousand pounds .January's prices for the hotel alone this year start at about £1450 for a week and then your flights. A great hotel service and staff, butb for sure we will definitely not be returning.What a difference a year makes.

We stayed at the Park Club Europe for the second time in jan 2012. The lady at the reception was very nice and we had a great room in the Lagoona ( L 222 ). Much better than last year when we had a room in the G section. The breakfast was very good, all you can ask for, but the lunch and dinner was a bit disappointing than the last visit. Some of the meat was tough and no Canary buffee :(. The buffee had different tematic choices, mexican buffee without enchiladas and burritos , hm ....... . Noisy in the dinning area but friendly staff in the restaurants and bars. The water in the pool is too cold and very few guests had a bath. The tourists is mainly german and italians. We will come back to Tenerife, but not and all inclusive hotel the next time.

Stayed here for a week from January 6 to 13.

Complex is huge.Covers an entire block on Ave Rafael Puig.

Room 304 in Block H was as far away from the Stage and bar area as possible.This is a benefit if you need an early night as the show laid on by the fabulous animation team finshes around about 11PM.Large balcony which only gets the sun early in the morning.Large sitting/TV area which really is a waste.Pity the bedroom couldn't have been made bigger instead.

Food - not great.

Drink - not great

Entertainment/Daytime activities - Really very good.The animation team,made up of mainly Italian guys and girls, were terrific.I even played my first game of 5 a side footie in 14 years.Probably not a good idea as my wife and I had already walked to Playa Del Duque and back earlier in the morning - three hours !!!! Well worth it though.

We arrived and was shown to our room which was very nice but had a very strange smell. it was quite over powering but we couldnt put our finger on it. We opened all doors and eventually it subsided. After having a look around and going back to our room, the smell again was back and was quite nasty. We eventually sussed it out and it was the pillows and the bedding. We stripped all the beds and put the pillows and bedding out on the balcony and asked for house keeping to replace which they did without hesitation. Not sure if the room had been shut up and things were damp but we did get it sorted. Now to the positive. We were all inclusive and the food was some of the nicest I have had in an all inclusive resort. It was freshly made, hot and all the surroundings were kept nice and clean. The staff in the restaurant couldnt do enough for you.-lovely!! The pool areas were lovely and kept clean and we didnt have a problem getting a sun bed. There were snacks available around the pool from mornng till night and free water available from the poolside fridges. The "mad" barman at the pool side bar was a real character and made the effort to chat to all ages and had us in hysterics. All the staff were friendly and the really made the effort. There were a few little afternoon events in the hotel like cheese and wine tasting event which you could get involved, all laid out beautifully. The hotel it self was modern very tastily furnished and very welcoming. The only one negative was the evening entertainment - really really bad. The entertainers were training and practicing during the day however it didnt seem to make much of a difference, it was still bad, miming to the songs, bad sets and poor costumes.- not entertaining and didnt get the crowd going. However please do not let this put you off. I would go back to this hotel without hesitation but would expect to go out in the evening.
