stayed here at the end of january, we had e-mailed ahead for some info due to limited luggage so i already knew there were pool towels ( provided free, small charge to change them ). our room was one of the smaller ones, we met one couple who complained about having a small room, but really there was more than enough room for the two of us, lots of hanging space with hangers, and the beds were very comfortable, we asked for extra pillows and had them within the hour!
where this hotel really scores is its impressive cleanliness and its STAFF. freindly, helpful, efficient...i could go on. we commented we had been before about 5 or 6 years before and wern't too suprised to find a bottle of bubbly in our room the second day. what did suprise me was the second bottle the day after with a small note to say happy birthday.
the pool area is very nice, the smaller pool is ideal for children and is heated, the second (large) pool is a lovely size with a waterfall, but is not heated so was very cold in january, the staff say that it was colder this time than usual but they rely on the sun to heat it and there had been more cloud than usual. there was a very good choice of food, usually two choices of fish and two or more choices of meat, lots of veg, salad, always a grilled meat and a roast meat . usual choices of veg , potatoes, pasta, in hot trays. we had a very enjoyable week and would definately go there again, looking to book our next holiday there.

Room Tip: rooms facing the pool are quieter, there are some bars at one side which give some noise on an eveni...

“Better than expected”

Whether it's 4 star, 3 star or 2 star, this is a very nice hotel and value for money. All staff are very pleasant and helpful and speak several languages. Our room 413 was spacious with two double beds, ample wardrobe and drawer space and has a great Ocean view and quiet. If you want to watch British TV, go to one of the pubs within five minutes walking. Pool towels are free, but if you wish to exchange for clean pool towels, cost 1.20 Euro each = your choice. We enjoyed the food in the restaurant, if you're a bit worried catching a stomach bug from the food, choose the food cooked for you at the grill, fresh and hot. If you wish to queue for the restaurant, go when the restaurant opens, or go an hour or so later and it's quiet. Snacks are available from pool bar. Handwash provided at entrance to restaurant. If you want a sunbed where every one else wants to be, you have to get up early, beds are available all day. Comfortable lounge, good evening entertainment. One pool is heated. Hotel was built a few years agao but that doesn't make any difference to your enjoyment. 399 rooms and at this time of year most are over 60 - like us! We would go back as we very much enjoyed staying at Best Tenerife hotel. January/Februay 2012

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room with ocean view

“Really enjoyable stay”

Ideally placed hotel in the centre of playas, good food, friendly staff, free wi fi ,very comfortable sitting areas and piano bar.Pool is cold at this time of year but nice to swim in with a waterfall at one end. Can't comment on the availability of sun beds as we always go to the beach. incidentally ,if you like a nice beach and or sea swimming it's a pleasant 15 minutes walk to the beach with the fountain adjacent to Christianos. We have just returned from our third stay in this hotel which we really enjoyed and will certainly be going again. We've always gone all inclusive and on its current pricing the Best is very good value indeed. We particularly like the 'atmosphere and the relaxed feel .Have stayed in a couple of other Hotels in central playas and visited the rest and whilst they are all of a good standard one or two tend to be priced rather highly .As things stand at the moment we will be favouring the Best for some time to come.

Preface to comments .Stayed 24 Jan to 8th Feb 2012
There seems to be a Sickness and Diarrhea bug on the island at present 60% of the people we met (15) had had it.With us it lasted 24 hrs.We have friends living on the main land Malaga and they have had it, so take something with you .Be prepared.
The hotel staff are great & helpful ,no trouble with sun beds,Wine recommended by waiter, good and not expensive.Pool area good with warmed area.Rooms cleaned well daily. Enough choice of food to suit most people.

Hotel does need some upgrading, posh TV but the only English was the news,
Overall a good 14 day holiday
