First room allocated was not up to even one star, cant believe that they expected anyone to stay there, when we challenged this we were offered a exchange but two days later as the hotel was full ! taking to people this was a ploy that is used on a regular basis, so if you go head for above floor 4 and get a pool view if poss.
The morning farce in the race for sunbeds was a joke ! ( this is nothing to do with the hotel but had to mention it as I am ranting ) the people doing this all being aged between 65 to 80 and all were Brits, I was ashamed, if any of you are reading this you know who you are and you are all pathetic.
The hotel is to far out, it is inbetween two brothels, the front road is the area pick up point for prostitutes.( the hotel is in the red light area of south tenerife )
if you mention the hotel to any locals they all seem to know this so why this has never appeared on trip advisor I dont know. My wife actually had this mentioned to her on the plane out by a elderly couple, they also recomended the Chinese next door as well.

All that aside the food wasnt to bad and the staff were pleasent, Will I return mmmm let me think about that ! Not a chance.

just got back from staying at the catalonia oro negro very nice hotel very friendly great food had a great holiday only thing wrong is where its at the location is a bit far out, witnessed an attack on a young lad just outside hotel think it was a mugging and straight opposite in the car park at night the working girls come out in force which is all a bit intimidating when your coming back from a night out

just stayed in rooms 116 +317 not as brochure. they are dark ,dirty,smelly,cramped rooms with hardley any balcony.desk staff unhelpful.would never go there again,rep not much use either.

Just returned back from 2 weeks at this hotel again, we just love the place. The staff remember you from one year to the next. The food is some of the best you will find at a 3* hotel. If you can't find anything you like then you must be the most fussiest person in the world. The rooms are comfortable and kept clean. Some are a little tired looking but it doesn't detract from the hotel. There is a problem with hookers late at night to the left of the hotel but we keep away from that side, however if you are approached don't stop and talk to them as you could find money or jewellery being taken without your knowledge .
