“fab hotel”

This was the 3rd time that we have stayed at this hotel, and have already booked up for next year. Near to all ameineties, bars, shops, restaurants , etc. lovely clean hotel, nice food, dining room a bit smokey though, if they are cooking over the griddle, which the normally do. but well worth a visit. Only thing thats ANNOYING, the oldies are up early to claim the best sunbeds on the sun terrace. we actually had an arguement with one of them for moving everyones beds...but other than that its a great hotel.

Room Tip: ask for a room overlooking the pool

“Ok to stay but very boring”

Young group there for new year - found it full of oldies concidering thomas cook told us it was a young persons hotel. We didnt let that bother us went out and down the strip every night it was great. Watch out for the hookers when you turn left out of the hotel although from the balcony they are great entertainment. Food ok more or less same every night. Entertainment avoid at all costs. Pool freezing. Glass lift is a must.

“watch out for the beds”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

the oro negro is a ok hotel, had a good variety of food, rooms were a little on the small size but clean, the pool area is nce. Tha only thing you have to watch out for are the beds. On arrival we were given a room which had a lovely poolside veiw, but when we saw the beds we where shocked, they had put what looked like 2 fold up camp beds in room, with mattresses that you could feel every spring. Straight away we went to complain, we were told they were full and didn't have another room, but after a few words were exchanged about the nerve they had giving anybody a camp bed and expecting them to sleep on it for a week, another room came up with 2 larger, comfy beds appeared. the veiw wasn't as good but that didn't matter, so that was the only problem we had. it is in a good location, walkin distant 2 most things

Room Tip: not one with camp beds

“Good Hotel”

just returned from the hotel last week, done a week on Thomson Cruise before going to the hotel on a half board basis. When we arrived at the hotel, the receptions staff were all friendly and will to help, the reception staff were always happy to help throughout our staff at the hotel. the pool area is of a large size, if you love lying in the sun and don't want to move for the day then i would recommend that you go past the pool and head up to the top terrace so that you have the sun on you all of the day. the hotel rooms were cleaned on a daily basis and the room size was really big, we never used the air condition as the fan was powerful enough. our room was on the second floor, we never had sun on the balcony but to be honest this did not put us off as we barley spent much time on the balcony apart from having a glass or two of wine whilst getting ready at night. only had breakfast once its breakfast and you can't go wrong with that, the first few nights we went down for dinner. the food was nice however my personal feeling is there is a lot of fish on the menu every night, however there was still a few other things that i could eat. or for the restaurant to have various choice of pizza as the first few nights it was pizza pizza only. again all the other food that i had was at the nice. location was great as this was only 5 minutes walk away from the main bars and not to far from the beach, you can hear some noise during the night from people coming back from a night out but this did not put us off as our room was located near the lift. i must admit i will be returning to the hotel again.
