I thought I had to comment regarding the experience of a disabled traveller who did not enjoy their stay at Palm Beach. My husband and I go to Palm Beach Club every year, he is disabled, permanently in a wheelchair and we go back to PBC because it is a very manageable place with a wheelchair.

We bring our own wheelchair, but we also hire an electric one, to give him some independence and to give me a break.Playa las Americas is very accessible to wheelchair users now since the the improvement to the walk way along the front.

So please, do not be afraid to go there, it is a wonderful place, we are off there on the 17th March for 2 weeks.

We stayed at the Palm Beach Club for a week in January and had a great time! The staff are friendly, our apartment large and spacious, with a sea view, everything we needed for a week self-catering. With a "Happy Hour" 3 times a day, small supermarket, bakery, everything needed on the doorstep, its wonderful place to stay. In a perfect spot, almost on the beach with shops, bars close by. Would love to go again....

returned to palm beach again 6th january 2012 for 2 week stay again the place is just so clean with lovely spotless apartments. the reception staff are just so freindly that it is like coming home each year ,the little italy restuarant food is fab with great staff very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them . the apartments are very comfortable and the maid service is excellent . the friends we have met there in january over the years make our holiday just great each year and we look to 2013 for our return ,its the best place to stay in las americas.

Visited 21-27 Jan 2012, and enjoyed it in an RCI one bed at the end near the waterfall with a terrace. The sun never reached us before 11am, but it was nice and quiet, I thought the accommodation rather small and it would have been uncomfortable sleeping four adults. The kitchen was well equipped, modern TV, Good maid service, but a defunct kitchen light was never fixed during the week after we complained. The maids were excellent and friendly. However the sales people who said they were from Silverpoint took us up the hill to Hollywood Mirage just before tea time at 4.30 pm and we did not get to eat before our return about eight pm, The sales presentation was a fiasco, all we learned was that our RCI points were unsaleable, but they never told us we could surrender tham to RCI. Instead they tried to get us to part with twenty five grand pounds for three time share apartment weeks. I note with interest that someone else was pressurised to convert his timeshare property weeks to points. I do not trust these people beware,
We wanted to stay an extra night nad were told the extra night would cost one hundred pounds for one night. Does anyone know what they charge for longer ?
