“Loved it!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

Besides the fact that the furniture in the hotelrooms are a bit outdatet and the rooms in general could use a little touch-up since it's a 5 star resort, I just loved this place!! The staff are very helpful and makes you feel welcome, very politie and smiling. Were som trouble with the tv in my room and I called the reception. 10 min later a technician knocked on my door and fixed it. Little later I recieved a call from the reception to check if the problem was fixed to my satisfaction.

Stayed on half board and the breakfast was fantastic, beyond compare. Dinner was varied and good, but it is buffet. The service in the resturant was excellent. The waitors made sure your table was clean and cleared away your plates and glasses as soon as you finished one dish so you could enjoy a new serving without staring at the leftovers from your first serving. The waitors and the cooks were helpful, smiling and serviceminded.

The miniclub is amacing and so are the girls that work there. They arrange a varied range of very fun and enjoyable activies for the children. The clubarea is fantasic, my son loved it and would have stayed there all day, every day, if I'ld let him.

The evening shows was enjoyable and very suited for families. Once a week the hotelguest are invited to a free show at piramide de arones which is arranged by the hotelstaff. It's most recommendable!! :)

Location of this hotel is great, both for shopping and if you like the beach. Lost of good resturant in the street outside, all in all a very nice area.

It's well worth to spend the extra money for a private plungepool. At least be sure to book a room with a poolview. The suites with poolview have the best location if you'ld like to have sun on your terrace from sunrise 'til sunset.

Will definetly stay there agian, and again :)

Room Tip: Rooms with poolview are more quiet and sunnier

“Great Hotel.”

My wife and i have stayed at this hotel seven times which speaks for its self, its a big hotel with a large pool. We have always found the service a good standard, with friendly and polite staff. Rooms are spacious, clean, and tidy. The surrounding area is also of a clean and tidy nature with plenty of restaurants and bars, our favorite bar being Lazy Daze on the parque de la paz strip, where you will get a warm welcome from Mick, Lorraine and Danni.
We always enjoy our holidays at this hotel, and I should mention the food is good especially the breakfast.
ENJOY.

Room Tip: We normally ask for lower floor rooms, all have been good quality.

“New Year Trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

Stayed 2 weeks at the Hotel on B&B basis, makes it very flexible with advantage of being able to eat in the hotel as and when, and the hotel is in an excellent location.
The bedrooms are looking a little tired but they are nevertheless kept very clean, the rest of the hotel has undergone and is continuing to undergo a revamp and big improvements can be seen where it has happened.
The staff are excellent in all departments and in every aspect, and management really try hard to make it enjoyable staying there by including little gifts like sweets and drinks in the room.
We have been there numerous times and will continue to stay there every time we visit Tenerife.

Room Tip: Get a Pool view room, bit more expensive but worth it.

“Nice complex but disappointed with Mediterranean Palace”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

We found the Mediterranean Palace disappointing, largely due to the poor sound insulation between bedrooms, it is a real problem! The other annoyance was a charge of 2.85 euros each day for use of the fridge, which seemed a bit penny pinching? Access to other parts of the resort was an advantage as the adjoining Cleopatra Palace was more to our liking and would probably be better for couples. The common areas of the complex are good, but unfortunately can't make up for the rooms!

Room Tip: Go to the Cleopatra Palace if you are worried about noise? Otherwise can't really help. Poolside...

“Lovely Hotel though overpriced”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

Just returned from Med Palace. Had great holiday for two weeks. Nice Hotel but rooms let it down. Did hear refurb of rooms for 2012, bath/shower very dangerous, very slippery.
. Shampoo supplied but no conditioner. Our room we found clean but very dusty for the next two weeks, no bed cover put on the bed.
Pools- very cold, especially in Cleopatra. When I complained they said Temp. Was 25o I don't think so when the air Temp was 23?! Thought indoor pool was free. Charge 15e. Both Hotel pools cold. , booked this Hotel because I expected them to be heated! So what was the point! Sun beds at Cleopatra very hard. Come on management we've seen three star with mattresses! No entertainment at night in Cleopatra
Only in Med Palace, confusing entertainment Info Board doesn't tell you correct details...be wary of waiters - 'wrong change' given three times...
Food- we found good service, some staff could be glum but majority really excellent, it's how you are to them sometimes. Food wasn't that good. Except the freshly fried. Good hygiene standards in that department. If which I take particular notice. No cross contamination.
Great selection of fruits endless and ice cream- the best .
Breakfast. Get there either very early or late otherwise it's bedlam. Fresh omlettes, fried/boiled /scrambled eggs, typical strange sausages n bacon. Plenty choice continental, juices, smoothies and great coffee (if you know how to make it) I mixed cappuccino with expresso!
Great location Tenerife gone upmarket we'd go to entertainment bars after dinner then back to Hotel for Cabaret and Cocktails. Actually hotel drinks cheaper than outside Bars. Ok you can get cheap beer outside for 1 euro but I like Cocktails or Barcardi. Hotel gave good measures
Cafe at hotel. We lunched at every day. Very good food at reasonable prices.
We had free fridge due to medical condition. Free WiFi for everyone. Looked at rooms with splash pool. Very nice to have one of those.
Reception. We always found very friendly. Yes busy at times but people coming in all of the time.
One thing I missed at this Hotel, a bar where you can sit and have a drink with pianist/singer with song requests, there is nowhere to socialize and meet people, they have a single pianist plays for a short time but that's no goog. Management go take a look in Conquisidor at their lively bar!!! Med Palace has Sports Bar but who wants to sit there while their men are watching football. Comeon Management. Think about it! You'd get more in.
We would like to return to Tenerife for a month if Hotels pools were heated.
We checked in on my Birthday but was disappointed not to have it acknowledged.
Booked with Cosmos who have appalling Rep. Didn't turn up for one meeting. Didn't leave us a cancellation message, gave us wrong information about Xmas Festival of which we went for that reason. Told us procession was in Las Americas. It was in Los Christianos. So we sat for hours waiting and missed it - go figure! Tried to phone her Three times to re schedule a show no reply. Went to see her three times where she's supposed to hang out every day. Not there! In panic we tried her emergency. Number. No answer. No voice mail. How worrying is that! Eventually we found an email address though she hadn't given it to us.....
Weather was great every day. Bit chilled at night so need a wrap you ladies. Look out for 'Elvis, Elton n Tom Jones' same guy. Very good.
Book the Musical show. Amazing. Plus the Trannie night.
