The hotel complex is quite small, The cleanliness was A* and there were enough sunloungers for everyone. Our suite was the best i've seen. This was 2 story, bedroom with terrace and sunloungers off this, double wardrobes. Bathroom with powerful shower, lounge with terrace off of this with table and chairs and a lovely view of a volcano and the sea. The sun was on this balcony from 8-6 evryday. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. The maids came around everymorning bar wednesday and sunday (but i managed to swap our bathroom towels with someone cleaning a room) .We spent most evenings on our balcony getting takeaway drinks and playing cards. You can upgrade to a rooftop suite for 15-25 euro's per day. I would consider this instead of sunbathing by the pool. You have to rent a TV remote control for them to work 15euro a week deposit and pay 21euro charge for bbc and sky channels. You have to leave a deposit of 20euro each for beach towels and safe's are 20euro's a week and 20euro deposit, these are behind reception not in your room!! I used my case with a padlock instead as it was a bit of a trek. They had a spa under the kids pool offering massage and manicure's and pedicures. They had a large games arcade with internet also. There is a small shop selling the essentials open from 8-1 4-7 everyday or there is a large spa approx 20 mins walk also. there is a baby splash pool and a heated kids pool and a non heated adult pool which are all clean. The adult pool is freezing cold. The restaurant is open 7-10 then 1-3 then 6-9 for meals which were all very nice especially the grill which served fresh meat everyday. The bars are open from 11-11 for tea, coffee, hot chocolate, beer on tap, water, soft drinks and spirts. You were allowed to order 4 drinks at a time as a couple which saved waiting at the bar as the plastic cups were small. You can have a small pot of icecream and hotdogs, cheese and ham sandwiches and pastry's were help yourself most of the day. Staff cam around the pool side once a day with a tray of fresh fruit which was a nice touch. The staff were all lovely and happy apart from 1 waitress and one of the entertainment girls who walked around with her nose in the air thinking she was wonderful! The location is a walk from the beach and town but there is a free bus. We enjoyed going for walks everyday, we even walked around an old vulcano which is opposite the complex. Tenerife in last january is warm but cloudy most of the time we were there and a short rainfall. It felt like our summertime. The evening entertainment is outside in the bar area on a small stage. We couldn't get seats most nights as we finished dinner at 8.30pm. Every night they bring in an act. We saw an abba tribute, motown, parrot show and flamenco dancing. There was a kids disco before this and a quiz or bingo also. The entertainment ran from 8pm til 10pm, they played music through speakers the rest of the time (quite repetative) This resort is aimed for families. We were the only young couple there without kids. I would say our best day there for entertainment was monday. There was live music by the pool side for an hour during the day. We also got offered a free scuba dive lesson on this day too.
I would recommend this holiday to families not couples and I would stay here again when we have kids. This resort is spread out low level so wheelchair and push chairs may find it harder going than a resort with a lift. I would rate this hotel 3 star due to the evening entertainment. We paid £900 all inclusive for a week for both of us which was worth it.
