Stayed for 2 weeks over xmas and new year. Bungalow was good though we had old style tv sets, noticed most other bungalows had flat panels. Out bathroom had seen better days also. Requested a double bed but got singles - which i hate in GC...some rooms do have doubles / kings. Good kitchen with most utensils though rarely needed them. Like a lot of places in GC no toaster or microwave. Theyre well cleaned with new towels and sheet fairly often. Maids and staff / pool bar are all friendly. Didnt eat at the bar much, 1st meal was 2 cheese burgers for lunch - though the burger was a bit on the small size and around 6 Euro each - was a bit steep for was came....that put us off a bit so didnt eat much again. Great heated hot tub - needed inthe winter months. Palm trees around the pool in winter creat a lot of movng shade around the sun deck making it hard to get flat out in the sun sometimes....they could do with chopping down a bit. It seems well secure and private and around a 10 minute walk to the Yumbo. Overall had a terrific time and will head back there again for sure.

Fantastic apartments very spacicious ,, great bath/shower , storage space and all you need to use in the kitchen with 2 ring cooker and fridge .
As usual only downfall is WHERES THE KETTLE AND TOASTER , these are just the basics and not provided..

Local Sita centre opposite so local Spar at hand with shops and restauants and the Yumbo centre is a mear 15 minutes walk away.
Taxi rank just outside so fo an average of 5 Euro can travel to many local venues , restaurants with ease.
Management and bar staff excellent vey friendly and always at hand so no problems there...
Totally reccommend and will deffo revisit in the near future..

This was my second visit to Los Almendros and definitely the last unless they do some serious refurbishment on the place. The rooms are tired, the beds are so uncomfortable, the bed linen seemed constantly damp and the service is appalling. We requested 4 rooms near each other and they could not have put us any further apart - we booked 8 months ago.

The food is revolting. The bar staff, whilst very friendly are only really good enough to serve drinks - go to the supermarket over the road and do it yourself.

One of the most obvious problems is with the cleaning. Our room was only cleaned 4 times in a week. They have a day off and New Year's day was a holiday - this in a country with 20% unemployment!!! Outrageous. The cleaners that did (occasionally) turn up were extremely unfriendly, and even occasionally rude.

This place has phenomenal potential, it needs better management and some money spent. There are better places to stay both gay and straight.

A group of us stayed at Los Almendros for a week over New Year. Whilst it is conveniently close to the Cita centre, the Yumbo and local restaurants; unfortunately the standards of service are poor and the bedrooms need modernising. The rooms were only cleaned four out of seven days, there are never enough staff on the bar prompting slow service (albeit pleasent) and the team on reception are inattentive. The beds are particularly uncomfortable and poorly presented, whilst the kitchen is poorly equipped and the bathroom in much need of an upgrade.

This was our second time of staying here and we would not choose to stay again. Disappointing considering it's location and obvious potential.
