"We stayed in these apartments in Aug 2009 and due to the low cost wasnt expecting great things. We just wanted somewhere to sleep. We were really surprised. They are basic but clean and there was always hot water for showers or baths. They are smack bang in the middle of Central Salou and are a 1 minute walk from the Beach with shops, pubs and restaurants all around. The bus to go to barcelona, port avenutra, cambrils, tarrangona is right outside too. It is noisy at night until about 2am - 3am but it didnt stop us sleeping and it was quite nice to sit on the balcony with a drink and watch Salou come alive at night but i wouldnt recommend if you like a early evening. You can also see the fountains lit up at night too easily from the balacony. Towels and bedding were changed once a week.

The downside is there is no air conditioning and the kitchen utensils are sparce but we never intended to cook anything anyway. There is no pool but the beach is literally across the road. Also you have to collect your key from another hotel which is along the seafront near McDonalds. It is a 5 min walk away"
Top Tips:
"Buy your Port Aventura tickets before you go from a online place (we brought ours from attractiontix) as it is lots cheaper then buying at Port Aventura. Also if your using the buses buy a bus pass (can be purchased from the Tabac shop which is right below the Apartments and the staff speak excellant English) as it is a very cheap way to get about rather then paying direct to the bus driver each journey. 1 credit = 1 single local journey per person. I think 20 credits was roughly 16 euros. Visit Irish pub/restaurant Danny Boy's - Excellant food, entertainment and helpful staff. Also go to the water park next to PortAventura (get in half price if you show them your PortAventura ticket) - It was a great day out for all the family."

Booked a last minute trip to the Sant Jordi apartments as the cheap flights offer was too good to resist.We arrived about 11pm so you have to pick up your room key at a sister complex as the Sant Jordi does not have any reception.Its only a 10 minute walk away but is still annoying.
On entering the apartments the first thing to hit you is the hot air.No air conditioning!!!! Beware.It was extremely warm at night and we kept the windows closed in case of mozzies.Got used to the warmth.We didn't,however,get used to the noise from outside.There is a place called Papillon Disco right across the street and at chucking out time,which ranged from 4 to 7 in the morning the singing ,shouting and general mayhem could wake up a House of Lords minister during an expenses debate in the House.
Its a real pity as the location,about 100 yards from the beach,is pretty unbeatable.If you are in Salou to party this would definitely be the place to stay.
