We purchased an apartment in this residency (as a tax investment) so thought we'd go and try it out...we've been back 3 years in a row now so that must say something. Great position, 50m from the piste. Shops for rental, food etc right below and a short walk down to the main "centre". Nice restaurants nearby. The staff are friendly (but it's chaotic on saturday changeover) and very obliging. The rooms are fairly basic but have everything you need and are clean and tidy. The domains of Valmeinier & Valloire are more family oriented so are not for people looking for big after-ski parties but we find the skiing & boarding excellent. Loads of off-piste/in-between piste skiing at a medium level of difficulty. Best thing - no queues for lifts!! Value for money at this place is amazing.
