This place was excellent value for money.
It was built 3 years ago and OK so the rooms are smaller than your average US hotel, but the food and modern facilities more than make up for it.
We stayed for a week on a half board basis (inc dinner). We also found out that our tour company reps actually booked their families into this place when they come over to visit.
The restauarant, whilst not cheap for outsiders, fed us some excellent meals, and the hosts were very accommodating, adapting their menu to suit other customers' food preferences eg vegetarian or no pork etc. which in France is pretty unusual.
The hotel also has a great relaxation suite, with a large sauna, steam room and jacuzzi open every evening. I made good use of all three - they saved me from getting really stiff, having not done that much exercise before our trip.
The hotel is just a 3 minute walk to the nearest ski lift and beginners slope.

Wasnt blown away by the resort as was very small and a bit rundown filled with dodgy looking locals (although very friendly) but thoroughly enjoyed the long tree lined slopes. Mont Thabor was by far the nicest hotel if you are looking for modern stay but beware rooms are quite small and minibar is 5euros for a can of coke and you can hear a faint boom boom boom from the club underneath that starts up at 11pm but nothing that would keep you awake. The food in the restautant attached 'Passe Simple' is absoltely amazing - if you go half board then you will not be disappointed.. all a la carte and nicely decorated and delicious. Another restaurant is Mojo's in the old town if you are looking for bangers and mash/thai green curry followed by bread n butter pud etc then this is the place.. english run and food is out of this world!!!
