We booked this hotel as a stop over en route back from the Ile de Re and wish we'd just spent the fortnight here.

The hotel itself is a fantastic 19 century building in lovely grounds and the swimmingpool  is ideal for families. Our suite was a good size and comfortably accommodated a family of 4.

The staff are very welcoming 
The cuisine is number 1

The setting is ideal - a stones throw from the wineyeard which, itself, is an interesting town with plenty to see and do.

Will definitely be going back!

Our room was extremely dark - lights needed to be on all the time.
Bed or mattress had seen better days.
Wi-fi reception was poor could not use computer.
Swimming-pool was covered and un-useable.
Poor breakfast.
We arrived at 21.05hrs and even though we informed them of our late arrival were refused admittance to restaurant, although it was open.Told to find a restaurant in Thann,naturally they all closed at 21.00hrs.
Moved to Colmar where everything seemed to 30% cheaper.

We stayed for 2 nights either side of a ski tour and could not have chosen better. The Lindner family make you feel really welcome with lots of personal little touches around the place - handwritten place cards on the table, home made nibbles waiting in your room and attentive service. The breakfast buffet is extensive and beautifully presented, and the half board has to be the best deal around - we paid €14 extra on top of our room rate for two and got a delicious 6-course Sunday dinner!! The only thing that was less than perfect was our bathroom, clean and functional but miniscule. 
The hotel has recently undergone extensive refurbishment, adding a new wing (with roomier baths) and beautiful spa, blending the traditional and the modern nicely. - beautiful scenery, access to great skiing ( but without the inflated pricing and chi-chi audience. They also have a nice little children's room and bedrooms suitable for families.
We will definitely be back, with the kids!

Comfortable and extraordinary place to stay.. The restaurant is outfitted like a traditional Alsacian and modern cuisine ,  home-style cooking, more gourmand than gourmet perhaps. I missed a lounge or other recreational facilities. But overall it was worth the money.
We spent 2 nights at this hotel, it was delightful, in the centre of a lovely town, parking directly behind the hotel, lovely rooms, very clean, friendly staff, and an excellent buffet breakfast We had a superb Sunday lunch there.  Wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.
