This motel is an example of what you would hope to expect. We were impressed with the friendly attitude of the desk person and also the staff member in charge of the continental breakfast. They left no stone unturned in trying to make our stay enjoyable.

We have stayed in many Super 8 facilities over the years and especially this last month. Some are on my "Do Not Ever Return" list, but not the one on Central in McKinney. The place was CLEAN, including the carpet, and the beds were very comfortable. What put this one over the top was the management and their attention to the little details.

Halls had overpowering stinch of smoke. Room had a fridge but it was not plugged in nor was there a place to plug it in. I have sleep apnea and finding a place to plug in my CPAP machine was almost non-existant. Wireless Internet was horrible. Did not work most of the time. Only had one ice and vending machines on the first floor ( Not good if you have kids or bring the pets.) I will not be staying here anymore.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for three nights about a week before Christmas, 2008. Judging from the price, I knew that this would not be a luxury hotel, but even still, I was sorely disappointed. Overall, this hotel is clean but very, very shabby. We booked online through a third-party reservation website, and we experienced some problems at check-in. No one seemed quite sure how to handle that type of reservation. If you book online, be sure to bring a printed receipt showing proof of your payment! Our room had a fridge and microwave, which was nice, and the room size was okay, but the walls were paper-thin. We could hear everything going on in the hallways and the rooms around ours. The bathroom was clean, but again, very shabby. We requested a non-smoking room, but the smell of cigarette smoke was quite prominent in both our room and in the hallways. The breakfast bar was adequate but nothing extraordinary. If you are looking for a quiet, clean hotel, do not stay here. Choose another hotel if you will be staying in the McKinney area. There are so many other nicer hotels at comparable values.
