“Give us a second chance”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 December 2011

Okay, so we all know that this hotel does not have the best reviews over the last few months. But don't hang us out to dry yet. Yes, we had a flood, and yes, it caused alot of damage to the building, and yes we have finally recived our check from insurance so the remodeling can begin. So far around 90% of the repairs are completed. And as each day passes more and more repairs are being completed. We are giving it our all to help build up a new, safe, and family friendly hotel right here in Haltom city. So please find it in your hearts to give us a chance to show you the new us. Thank you and have a wonderful holidays.

“Worst Hotel on the Planet!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2011

We booked online through priceline.com and when we attempted to check in the receptionist told us that there were no reservations in our names and that she only had one room available that was exceptionally more expensive. Of course we had to call priceline to find out that this hotel had elected to have their reservation confirmations sent via fax. When we asked the receptionist if she received the fax she told us that the fax machine wasn't on because they were in the process of renovating. Apparently they haven't heard of computers or email.
"abra kadabra" Magically the room we reserved opened up and we then proceeded to check in.
After our journey through the disgusting hallways we got to our room, we found the room filthy and the bed had a big burn hole all the way through the comforter to the mattress. The burn holes were perfectly lined up and fresh so it was obvious that pyromania had occurred recently and after the bed was made. Additionally the toilet paper holder looked as if it had been clubbed off the wall and was laying on the bathroom floor with bits of drywall from the recent demolition. I went to the night stand to use the phone to call the front desk but of course it didn't work so used my cell to call and ask if the linen could be changed. The receptionist said "no, there were no housekeepers available". Astonished I made my way to the front desk to speak with the lady face to face. I asked her if she could give us another room if the bedding could not be changed. She said no that rooms were all occupied which i found hard to believe since there were only a few cars in the parking lot. At this point I'm getting a little annoyed at the lack of customer service so I ask to speak with the manager. The lady then begins to tell me how owner/manger aren't there and didn't live in the area, that they make her work extremely long hours and that she hasn't slept in a couple of days. I didn't understand why she would complain to a customer about her boss and asked again if we could have a different room or if maybe she could change the linen. She was offended that I would ask such a thing and became angry with me. She told me that I was being rude and making fun of her and that I needed to leave. I asked for a refund which of course she refused to give me. Then the bipolar receptionist tells me to have a seat in the lobby and she would change the linen "when she had time". After waiting for about 15 min "ala kazaam" magically another room opens up. We swap the room keys and I head back up to the "new room".
The "new room" has dirty floors there was an open box of animal crackers on the TV stand and crazy looking hand print/smears across the ceiling. I turned back the sheets to find dirty yellow stained sheets. At this point I'm exhausted and don't feel like dealing with this anymore so we went to wal mart bought some new sheets and just made the best of it. This was the worst hotel ever but it was race weekend and no other hotels were available. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Room Tip: Buy a tent or sleep in your car

“They do NOT honor hotel.com bookings... Dot NOT stay here!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 August 2011

We booked a room with this hotel through Hotels.com. My credit card was charged and I received my confirmation. My family and I drive 6 hours to stay here for my husband to work at a jobsite with our 1 year old child. We arrive only to find that not only do they not have our reservation, but they don't "do" reservations, and they have not done business through hotels.com for 3 months now. I would need to pay them for the room that I had ALREADY paid for if I wanted to stay there. I told her that I needed to talk to hotels.com about this. While on the phone with hotels.com, she rented out the last room available. I asked her where my daughter and I were supposed to sleep until Tuesday while my husband is working.. I was floored by her response of "That's not my problem". The "lady" if you can call her that, at the front desk was incredibly rude and the whole experience was just ridiculous..
Hotels.com to the RESCUE!! They relocated us to another hotel for the same rate.

I reccommend do NOT book this hotel!!!

“Wish I could give it negative stars”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2011

This place is so horrible that I don't even know where to start, but I will give it a go.

For starters, I should mention that I have worked at hotels for nearly all of my adult life. I understand that there are some things that are difficult to accommodate and I would not call myself picky by any means. I have never in my life until this point REFUSED to stay at a hotel. This one was my first.

To begin with, they did not have our reservation. The front desk rep still allowed us to check in which was fine, but he was not friendly by any means.

Walking down the hallway to the room is like walking down a corridor in a horror flick- very dark, old and creepy. The stairwells are filthy, and the place smells old.
The room was DISGUSTING. It clearly had not been cleaned in some time. The towels were stained and dirty (with toothpaste dried on them), there was a hole in the wall, and there were dead bugs on the a/c unit. The connecting room door lock was held closed with TAPE, and when I turned down the sheets, they were stained with blood spots.

So, we asked at the front to move rooms. The desk rep was pretty rude, and gave us his "only other room" which was a handicap room. This was no problem for me at all, and when I inspected the room at first glance, it seemed fine.

However, when I turned down the sheets, they were stained with huge yellow stains. There was red splatter marks on the ceiling above the bed.

We had driven 5 hours to get there for a friend's wedding, but were so disgusted by this place that we ended up staying for only her ceremony and driving the 5 hours back on New Years Eve to avoid having to stay here.

YUCK!
