“good value.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011

We stayed at this hotel last month (Nov 2011). We were in Arlington for a concert at Cowboys Dance Hall & we also went into Dallas to see the JFK Memorial. On a whim, we drove by Cowboys Stadium & took a self guided tour of that as well, which by the way was super awesome & we recommend to everyone. They recommend at taxi guy (I forget his name) who took us to the dance hall & picked us up afterward so that was very appreciative. I've been in cities where you spend 3 hours looking for a taxi service.

Anyway, the hotel was great! It was cool (50s-60s) outside so when we kicked the heat on in the room it smelled like it was catching on fire. Maintenance came up immediately. Everything was fine. The hotel's location is fairly convenient. We were in a rental car with no GPS & didn't have much trouble finding it. It's right off the highway. Location is convenient to most everything I mentioned above, although it is a little bit of a drive to Dallas/JFK Memorial.

The bathrooms were nice size & the towels were soft. The hairdryer worked well. The beds were comfortable. Lots of pillows were provided & were soft. We slept really well here. Not too much noise. We thought the elevators were incredibly slow for having as few floors as the hotel has but we just took the stairs instead. We were only there for 3 days so we didn't use the fitness center & it was too cool to use the pool so can't advise on those.

Staff was friendly. We ate breakfast there every morning & it was better than some complimentary breakfasts I've had. Juice, milk, coffee, cold cereal, waffle maker, muffins/bagels. There was a hot item every day - scrambled eggs, sausage patties, etc. It was great for getting something in your belly before setting off on a full day of fun. She informed us at check-in that there is a 20% discount (I think) at the nearby IHOP if you show them your room key but we never used it.

Overall, we were happy with our stay. We would stay here again.

This place literally stinks in smell so bad we are checking out in the morning. Not like the Hamptons I have ever stayed at before. Not like a Hilton property I have ever stayed at before. It smells bad from the time you wlak in to the time you get into your room. Stink even worse when you leave your room. Smells liek old 70's smoke and junk.

Room Tip: Good people, Stinky rooms and even worse lobby

“Hampton Inn at 2050 N Hwy 360”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2011

The lady at the registration desk kept busy, but was not too friendly. She was on the phone with what seemed like registration business when I arrived, but didn't acknowledge me until after the end of the phone call (at least 10 minutes later). The bad: The a/c blows right across the work desk! Stains in the work chair. Bath tub fills up with a few inches of water during a shower. Toilet seat was loose. Tub leaks excessive water on floor when taking a shower. The wifi internet is extremely slow (only 500kbits/sec speed). Breakfast was okay, but the lady started shutting down the breakfast at least 5 minutes. When confront, she was very nice and helpful, though. This property appears to be very dated. Small sink counter top in restroom, which is not customary in the Hamptons that I have stayed in. For the amount of money that Hampton charges, the issues I noted are totally unacceptable.

Room Tip: This hotel does not have suite-type rooms. Working at the work desk will disturb a sleeping partner...

“Nice Room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2011

My son and I went to Dallas for a football game and stayed at this Hampton Inn. The staff was very friendly. Check in was very quick. Our room was very nice and there was not really any issues with noise from the hallway or other rooms. Our AC worked very well which was nice on those over 100 degree days. We would stay there again.
