This is our second stay at Ramada. The rooms are clean and some are recently updated!!! I asked for a first floor room and the clerk (Geena) was very nice and gave me a nice room away from the front which makes for a quiet stay!!! We have stayed there for the past two years and plan to stay again! Our family also enjoyed the breakfast!! We had lunch at Murphy's in Winchester---very good if anyone would like an unique setting in a real small town!! It is about 14 miles southwest of Giddings!! Keep up the good work.

I have stayed at this hotel for the last 3 years for the MS-150 weekend in April. This past MS-150 I have 15 rooms reserved for my team. The service and hospitality is excellent. The hotel is filled with ms-150 riders that Saturday night. The owner and staff make sure that the breakfast is set out much earlier than scheduled. They are very flexible and helpful, a great owner and staff.

I have stayed at this facility twice, in September, 2007, and October, 2007. I am getting ready to make my reservation for November. These are all business trips. Initially I was concerned about the inn because of other reviews, but I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality and friendliness. No, it is not a 5 Star hotel, but the price was excellent, the room was clean, the breakfast was good, the staff was very friendly, and I felt safe (important for a woman traveling alone.)

Remember, this is a very small town. I have not stayed at the other two motels in town because this one meets all my needs and you can't beat the price! So, if you are looking for luxury, keep on going down the road to Austin or Bastrop. As far as Giddings is concerned....the Ramada is more than adequate.

We originally had a problem getting a room due to a local annual antique event. We have stayed at this motel many times while visiting family just across the road. The front reception and breakfast room have been upgraded and the breakfast is much better than it used to be. The rooms need a lot of attention. Peeling plaster, leaky toilets and lack of sufficient towels were some of the problems.
The biggest problem was the front desk staff and the failure to honor the confirmed room rate of $66 a night. The people on the front desk were unhelpful and rude. The day of our checkout on 4/2/06 they were more interested in eating than in helping the guests. When I pointed out that my confirmed rate was $66 they tersely replied, between bites of food, that the rate was $79 and they would not change it.
Due to this experience we will no longer be staying at this motel in the future. Fortunately some of the other motels in town have undergone renovation and we will be staying elswhere in the future.
