Stayed there on a Tuesday for one day. Reserved it at the last minute, no problem. Room was clean. I always check TripAdvisor before booking any room. Having read reports of bedbugs I was leery. I checked the mattresses before and the entire room upon check-in. Looked like NEW mattresses in room 127, anyway. Room was very clean. A/C worked great. Nice and quiet. In addition, all amenities worked perfect. Outside pool was cold, and the hot tub attatched was nice and hot. Grandson and I jumped from one to the other, and back again. Breakfast was as advertised. Nothing spectacular. Waffles, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, cold boiled eggs and all juices. Employees were very always helpful.

La Quinta's are always hit or miss on quality. We use the chain frequently because we are usually traveling with pets. The Georgetown La Quinta looks nice on the outside and is convenient to I35. The rooms are very basic. No frills, no luxury. Cheap...and you get what you pay for with this one.

the morning after we got home my wife and i both had bites on our arms, back and buttocks. we also found a roach in the bathroom. after 3 calls to the manager she finally got back to me after i contacted la quinta customer service. hotel is a dump.

No air conditioning and the inside of my room was over 90 degrees at 9:30 in the evening. Was told for 3 hours that a maintenance man was coming... after standing in the parking lot waiting for over 3 hours, (no maintenance man ever showed up and I had a 5:00 wake up call for the a.m.) they finally found an empty smoking room to give me... neglected to tell me the sheets were covered in mildew and mold. Due to prior engagements I could not move 12 people (5 rooms of people) to another hotel the next day... but wanted to. Spent over $900.00 in two days at their hotel and their response to me was to give me a voucher for one room at another La QUINTA.. like i would ever subject myself to that punishment again.
