my wife & i recently returned from our vacation which included 3 days in garland to visit our grandchildren.. we went to the days inn there as the location was convenient to our needs.. upon checking in, it was obvious, this was an older motel , but the owners, a very nice hindu family where having extensive renovations done.. this concerned us so we decided to take the room on a day by day basis rather than pay for 3 days up front.. upon checking in, we could see the pool was very well maintained , & the groundskeeper/maintenance people were hard at work cutting grass & basically taking care of the motels appearance.. we went into the room.. unloaded all our luggage, which was alot.. the first thing i did upon settling in was turn on the t.v. .. it was a 25 in. color set.. the picture was horrible.. we called the office & they very promptly & politely brought in a new set & hooked it up apologizing for any inconvenience.. that was odd in this day & time to get that type service.. the first nite the a/c didnt work real well comfortable, but not near cool enough.. that saturday morning i went to the office & reported the a/c .. we were off to the zoo , with the grandkids & asked for another room , before paying again.. they said it would be fixed with in the hour & not to worry.. we were gone all day & when we arrived back there was a brand new a/c in the room.. the owner a short time later knocked to see if we were satified & asked about our day.. we were very impressed.. the room overall looked great, the linens were clean, the room had a very clean kept smell in it.. it was very obvious these folks were going to extremes to make this motel a nice place to stay.. & were genuinely concerned with their quests comfort .. you can be sure on my next trip to garland i will stay at this motel again & recomend it to anyone.. the owners were a credit to the motels name.. my thanks go out to these folks for caring about our comfort & making our stay in garland a good one..
