“Great place to stay! Highly UNDERrated.”

There were 8 members of my family of all age ranges staying in 3 rooms. Very economical, almost half the price of other surrounding hotels.
The rooms were very clean, beds and pillows comfortable. The pool clean.
Only complaint was the refrigerator in my room did not work, but had two more rooms so not a big problem.
Hotel was busy but quiet. A/C worked great.
After reading other reviews was a bit nervous to stay here, not so now!

“Cheap and clean”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 June 2010

This is an older motel and a little shabby looking on the outside. The rooms have been "updated", which basically means the bathrooms have been remodeled and there is new carpet. Some of the furiture looks pretty old and the TV was ancient, but it did work. The fridge didn't work however which was dissapointing and the hair dryer was pretty weak. That said, it was clean, there were no bugs, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was about what you would expect: toast, cereal, mini donuts, sausage biscuits, milk, juice, coffee, and make your own Texas shaped waffles. All in all, if you need a clean cheap place to stay in Gainesville, this would be a good choice.

“Horrible!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2010

We called a reservation 45 minutes outside of arrival, checked in and went to room. What a poor excuse for a motel. We went back to the desk IMMEDIATELY after opening the door and complained of filth and odor. The girl behind the desk offered us another room and unsurprisingly it was exactly the same. We went back to the desk again and the manager said that since we had booked the reservation and since it was after 4 p.m., he could not refund the money. I called customer service and even though the manager said there was nothing he could do, the customer service rep tried to get the money back but he refused. He tried to play it off to us that it was corporate that wouldn't let him but in fact it was his choice. We filed a complaint and drove 2 miles up the road and stayed at a very nice Holiday Inn Express. The manager at the Days Inn would not answer our questions after their customer service called him and was extremely rude to my wife. DO NOT .....I REPEAT....DO NOT STAY at the DAYS INN in Gainesville Texas

“Nasty”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 July 2009

90 dollars per room and the rooms were nasty. Even if the hotel had been half this cost it would have been a rip-off. We stayed one night when traveling. Look elsewhere. There are lots of hotels in this area and we were driving through, needing a place for the night.

The door and inside wall of our room had some sticky substance sprayed all over it (soda?). The desk was barely held together (poorly repaired) with drywall screws, the chair wobbled sideways when you were on it, the handle on the dresser was broken, the drop ceiling was bowed down (don't want to know why). We had to argue who would sleep in the bed under the biggest ceiling panel bow and if it would hold through the night. The bathroom had been remodeled - a big sink stuck in the small bathroom and sealed to the back wall with lots of caulk.

The wifi signal didn't reach our room. The pool is in the middle of the paved parking lot. I have stayed in hotel all over the world and if I had to guess a "resonable" room price - the value would be $30, if that gives you an idea of the room quality.

The parking lot was recently repaved and they have planted a of nice plants outside (lipstick on a pig) . The idea seems to be to make the outside look nice to compete with a new hotel next door. The lobby is also nice. Once they have your money - look out. The rooms suck but it's too late by that point!

“you've come a long way baby!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 April 2009

This room was very comfortable and clean. We only stayed one night on our way back home but was very happy with our choice. The rooms are decorated a little bit out-dated but the pedestal sink inside the bathroom was a cool difference. The rate is very reasonable and we will sure be staying there next time we go through.
