I booked through Priceline at $73 a night taxes included, which is an unbeatable rate for this hotel. I would have given it 5 stars but 1) I didnt get a chance to eat in the hotel eateries 2) my bathroom drains were clogged upon first using my shower and sink - the hotel did repair them immediately after I reported - very quickly.

I stayed in room 1707 from Feb 5 - 7th, 2012 and the room view was great.Checkin was a breeze at 2pm on a SuperBowl Sunday.

OTHER ITEMS: I requested housekeeping for cleaning during lunch hours and my room was always ready upon return - great service on that front. No issue with connecting to wifi other than the cost of $10 per day per device. SPG floors always had stack of USAToday and WSJ available each morning near the elevator.

I love the location of this hotel. Its right at the Northeast corner of the Dallas North Tollway and 635 connected to the Dallas Galleria for easy access to shopping. Its right next to the Corner Bakery, Grand Luxe Cafe (Upscale CheeseFactory owned by the same) and Starbucks in the mall for a quick bite or coffee. Self-parking is free and if full park at Nordstroms right next door. Valet is $25 per night.

Rooms are large, have HD LCDs and large bathrooms - I believe I was in an executive suite. NOTE: my shower was very large and had a dual showerhead which was awesome, however it did not have a bathtub so not sure if the hotel has rooms with tubs or not. If I was traveling with my family, I would call directly before booking and/or at checkin.

Also, note there are 5 elevators and I didnt have to wait longer than 60 seconds for an elevator returning or leaving my room floor and there were 2 conference booked at the hotel.

Anyway, I would love to stay here again. Dont forget about the Westin heavenly beds that greatness.....

We stayed the weekend at this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We were on the 11th floor facing the highway. You could hear the cars going by but it didn't bother me. They have curtains that will black out the room for good rest. It has a shower with 2 shower heads and two people can easily fit. The people were friendly and helpful. The valet guy even pointed out a parking place for us so we didn't have to pay extra for the valet parking. I will say the bathroom sink upper edge does need a deep clean. This is what I noticed when I sat down on the toilet since it was at eye level. Other than that everything was great. It's also awesome being right there and being able to walk out of your room into the mall.

We spend a lot of time in Dallas, and until now, we have not chosen a "go-to" hotel, simply because there are so many fine places to stay. The Westin Galleria is our new favorite. Because we had caught an early morning flight, we arrived at the hotel at 9:30 am, expecting to leave our bags with the bellman. To our surprise, we were shown to our beautiful, contemporary room on the 8th floor, but it was right by the elevators. I expected to hear "dings" and rowdy weekend guests all night, but we slept the sleep of the dead in the luxurious, perfect bed. The room was uniquely designed by placing the built-in dresser/fridge/safe/coffee maker unit against the outside wall, along with giant windows which boasted sunshades and blackout curtains. There was even a cushioned window seat with pillows. The glassed shower drained well, which is not always the case, and the hotel is attached to the Dallas Galleria. Free parking, and walking to Nordstrom, etc. What's not to love?

Stayed at the Westin at Galleria Mall for 4 nights and it was a very restful and enjoyable stay. Front desk staff polite, friendly, professional, and helpful. Valet staff was speedy bringing your car up, polite and helpful with directions if needed. The housekeeping staff was dry through in servicing my room. It's location next to the Galleria Mall was a bonus! Would I stay again? absolutely!!! Thanks Westin Galleria Staff!
