My partner and I have stayed at this hotel at least half a dozen times or more. We have encountered some of the best customer service every time we have gone. Starting with the gentlemen who receive us at the front door to help us with our bags to the front desk staff to the knowledgeable bellmen who have given excellent service and restaurant advice. The bar manager Chad, has been so accommodating and always remembers our names and our favorite champagne. The twins who work in the bar sent us up warm cookies one evening warming our hearts and tummies.
The location is perfect for walking to many great restaurants or using the hotels shuttle service to go shop in the West Village area. The restaurant in the hotel should not be missed either.
We are season ticket holders and members of the Dallas Opera Inner Circle so we come to the area several times a year to attend events and will continue this new tradition of making the Warwick our regular hotel for all of our Dallas stays. The Charm and elegance of the Warwick Melrose Hotel - Dallas is evident when you pull into the valet parking. As someone who travels extensively I was highly impressed by the speed of check-in, and the staff's knowledge of virtually everything Dallas. The rooms were spotless - the beds were very comfortable - and room service was dead-on in both quality and speed of service. The neighborhood surrounding the hotel is extraordinarily clean, and there are a number of shops and restaurants within walking distance. However, I strongly recommend you eat in their restaurant as the food is nothing shy of exceptional! The bar was busy, and the patrons were fun and interesting. Again, the speed of service was notable. In short my family had an amazing time during our extended stay, thanks in large part to the fabulous staff!

Valet parking is a bit overprice though

Beautiful, capacious rooms. From an era when folks traveled with big trunks. The rooms are h-u-g-e and the bathrooms too. Really just a lovely place. But note: an old hotel is, well, an old hotel, so the gap between the elevators and the floor may be a bit odd, etc. I was thinking that this might be one of my favorite hotels ever, just about the time that a bunch of loudmouths had a meet'n'greet out in the 7th floor hallway. At 11 in the PM. But, hey, what can you expect from a great hotel in a hip part of town? Still though, it's a lovely place and I'd stay again without hesitation. PS The oatmeal in the dining room is tasty.
