We stayed here in Bay City to pick up my grandparents before making a trip abroad and it was just perfect. We had reserved a room with a regular king bed and they upgraded us in their premium King suites with no charge which was very nice of them. The room was very spacious and had all the amenities that we needed. The LCD tv was great for the sunday night game that we watched. Not sure if it was 42 or 46 but it was huge! They had some freebies in the room too which consisted of some snacks and free bottle water. Not sure if they do this in all the rooms but our room had it. Loved the service beyond anything. They delivered some extra towels straight to our 3rd floor room and also gave us a comp. crib for our baby boy at 1am in the morning when we arrived late. Received our 2 wake up calls on time and received our checkout slip under the door which saved us some time. Did not get to try the breakfast bc we were in hurry but surely stay their again and try it then.

I reviewed several hotels in Bay City before deciding on the La Quinta because it had an outdoor hot tub. When we arrived, the hot tub was ice cold. We were told they hadn't expected anyone to use it. However, I had called several days before to confirm they had a working hot tub and told them this is why I had chosen to book with their hotel. Apparently, no forwarded the message to management. After we had requested the hot tub be heated, the managment eagerly complied and we had a very nice long soak.

The room was clean and the bed wonderful. The bathroom was little tight and the door swung into the tub and toliet making it awkward for more than one person. The furniture all had a stickiness, probably from being rubbed with furniture soap and not being wiped down. This seems to be a consistent thread with hotels in the south.

The breakfast was great with Texas shaped waffles, eggs, sausages, etc... The onsite market had a great selection of snacks and sugar-free drinks.

Overall, it was a very good experience.

Recently my wife and I stayed at the Comfort Suites in Bay City. We were so impressed! This s easily the best hotel in Bay City. The Lobby is beautiful and elegant. We enjoyed the free hot continental breakfast in the morning and in the evening we enjoyed the Hospitality hour (which consisted of beer, wine, chips, & salsa). We spent our evenings outside by the pool. The pool and hottub was so clean and nice, with a rock waterfall that had my wife charmed. The staff was courtious and helped us by suggesting places to eat and local activities. We were so impressed! The rooms were large. The hotel seems to be very new. Our room had a flat screen tv, fridge, & microwave. The wifi worked perfect. Overall 5 Stars! We will stay here for every visit! Thank you Comfort Suites and Staff!

stayed with my crew working at the refinery this past week and it was great. Only part I didn't like was how far it was from lake Jackson. Other than that it was awesome! The room layout was great. It was big and clean like my own bedroom at my house :) The service was also beyond my expectation in this small town. Didn't try the pool but it seem nice. Will for sure stay there again when we work at the refinery again.
