We found TN Treehouses online in February and decided to book three nights with them for our fifth anniversary celebration because of the great prices and amenities they offered, and we were definitely not disappointed!
We booked cabin #6, which was advertised as being secluded away from the rest of the cabins and that's exactly what it was! It was set off away from the other cabins at the top of the hill and surrounded by trees. The deck is almost 100% private save for a small section on one side that can be viewed from a tiny corner of cabin #5's deck, but we never saw anyone else at the other cabins while on our deck. There is also a large property to the right of this cabin up a hill, and while it's very visible from that side of the cabin, the two properties are far apart and there appeared to be no one staying there while we were visiting. I imagine as the trees and brush grow up between them it probably won't be visible anymore in a couple of years.
The deck itself featured a small private hot tub, a table with four chairs, two lounge chairs, and a couple of deck chairs and was accessible by either the side door or a sliding glass door on the other side. On the inside of the cabin, the roomy living room/setting area/dining area was located beside the kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, stove, sink and dishwasher, and microwave. Since we were only here for three days, we wanted to get the most we could out of the cabin and cooked every meal there except for one dinner and the day we were at Dollywood. Pots, pans, dishes, silver wear, and kitchen utensils were all provided and there was a charcoal grill outside. The bathroom was roomier than I expected and located off the kitchen next to the bedroom, which had two big closets and a set of built-in drawers and a comfortable bed. There were two tv's, one in the living room and one in the bedroom, and both had Direct TV. The living room had a fireplace also, but it being as warm as it was we never got to use it. There is a very small loft area above the kitchen and bathroom that would be perfect for children also, and yes we did get up there to see what it was like :D
The cabin location was about two miles away from basically everything, which was great because it had a very secluded feel without being too far away from things to do. It was easy to find with a GPS and the roads were not hard to navigate, although they were a little narrow. Cell phone and internet reception are not that great here, but what can you expect from this area? It's nice to get away from it all once in awhile anyway, and there was a land line phone in the cabin.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience with both this fabulous cabin and with the owners, who were very kind to us and helped us with everything we needed. We are definitely going to book here again and are already making plans for it, perhaps as early as next fall!
