Only here for one night, but wecould have happily stayed longer. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Civil War sites in the area.

Nice pool, great evening cookies and lovely breakfast. I doubt we'll be in the area again but we would most certainly recommend this hotel.

The staff was extremely friendly and made us feel at home. Rooms are clean and quite. I was staying with some other people for a conference at the state park. The staff was so kind and helpful to all of us during the trip. We was kidding with one of the guys because he was wanting some banana pudding. One of the lady's at the front desk heard us and she made us banana pudding the next night. That was a first for me and it was delicious. The hotel is next to a very nice golf course but the southern hospitality was wonderful. I will never forget this trip.

It was obvious to me that this staff enjoys hospitality from the check-in process with Alicia to the check-out with Amanda, these folks care and perform well in their positions. It is obvious that they all are well trained, professional in their dealings and have the utmost care for the guests and their experience.
We were visiting friends for their 50th wedding anniversary (Jones) nearby and were recommended to the Hampton Inn at Pickwick Dam. There were other hotels closer to their home and other hotels that were cheaper, however; we were told that the Hampton Inn would be the selected hotel by the family. What a comfortable, enjoyable stay. The hotel is beautifully furnished and decorated, nice setting near a golf course and a lake side view. The breakfast had multiple selections, nicely displayed and plenty of sitting areas, a nice experience.
Beyond the staff's control, a work crew was cutting tree limbs early on a Saturday morning that woke us up. We had been out late visiting and were hoping to enjoy an opportunity to sleep in. The professional woman at the front desk in the morning, Amanda; questioned us to find out how everything was with our stay. As soon as she felt that there was something bothering us, she cared enough to apologize and be sympathetic towards us. Wow, this meant alot to us and we were impressed.
It doesn't end there, we still had an opportunity to brag about the hotel's staff at our friend's special anniversary party to several folks that asked where we were staying. You see, good hotel operators know the key to success is satisfying guests one at a time. Kudos to these hotel pros! Thanks for satisfying us and making our stay a positive experience away from home.

We have a vacation lakehouse at Pickwick and drove up with friends for a girls scrapbooking weekend. When we arrived the road to our cabin was iced over. We went down to the Hampton Inn and stayed the weekend instead. The staff was wonderful, and let us use the conference room for all our stuff. The hotel is up to date, clean, nice room, etc. This was my 2nd stay there. Would definitely recommend it. This is the only major hotel in Counce besides the State Park Inn.
