We chose Jameson Inn during our trip to visit family for Thanksgiving because we had previously stayed here three or four years ago. I realize things change but still did not check the reviews prior to making reservations. OMgosh! The first room that we were assigned was an adjoining room. When my husband checked the door to make sure that it was locked, the dog in the other room began to bark and did not stop. I could hear the owner trying to calm it, but to no avail. We requested another room and were assigned to another one. The carpet in both rooms was very dingy. The linens look and smelled fresh and the furnishings were okay. However, there was a ring under the rim of the toilet and paint and wallpaper were peeling. It was very cold in the room and when we tried to turn the unit on "high" it did not work. We could only use the settings for low heat or high cool. The front desk offered to change our room again but by this time my neice who was traveling with us was asleep and I was in my pajamas. Also it was after 1 am and we had driven over 6 hours, so we decided to stay for the night. When we woke the next morning, my husband called the front desk to see if we would be charged for canceling the other night of our reservation and was told that we would not. We moved down the street to Staybridge and was upset at ourselves for not staying there in the first place. We did not eat breakfast, therefore, I could not comment on it. The staff was very accomodating. For the amount that we paid, this was so not worth it.
