My family and I were travelling through Tennessee and had a reservation at GuestHouse Inn & Suites Nashville/Music Valley. I was not our first choice but it was a great second choice (our first choice was the Club Hotel Nashville Inn & Suites). The only reason we stayed here instead of our first choice was the rate (we were coming in on New Year's Eve). The location makes getting there easy (with a little help from a GPS if Nashville is unfamiliar territory). I was a little concerned about being so close to the Opryland Hotel on New Year's Eve, but there was no need to be worried. The traffic in the area was heavy but not nerve-wracking. Upon arrival, I found the staff very courteous and friendly, the rooms very clean, and the whole hotel very quiet. There is a limited number of parking spaces underground. This is a plus for winter travel. Another plus is the continental breakfast. There were plenty of choices for us (waffles, cereal, bagels, muffins, fruit, yogurt, coffee, milk), and we were able to fill up easily. For those who need options for dinner, there is a McDonald's and Bob Evan's across the street (as of this review). We opted for a Papa John's pizza. The delivery was fast and the pizza was delicious. Just be aware that delivery is done directly to the room. Check-out was easy and the final bill was accurate (no unexpected fees). The only issue we had was not being able to adjust some of the controls on the television. The stereo mode allowed for too much background music, and it would have been nice to switch the television to mono. That being said, I would definitely stay at the GuestHouse Inn & Suites Nashville/Music Valley, although it wouldn't be my first choice.
