This hotel was very nice and well suited for a business stay. The room was very comfortable and the free coffee/tea station in the lobby was also a nice and very welcomed amenity on rainy morning. The hotel is also very conveniently located near a mall with shopping and restaurants such as Flemings and PF Changs. My particular room package also included a complimentary breakfast at one of the restaurants, however, unfortunately, our team had breakfast plans at another location and I could not try the food. The staff was very friendly and check in and out was very easy.

My 18 yr old son and I stayed one night at the Vanderbilt Marriott as part of a college visit to Belmont University. Our room was very nicely appointed and very clean, with a view of the Parthenon. The valet parking attendants and front desk staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming. We had breakfast delivered to the room -- the bowl of granola was huge and had tons of fresh berries; the continental/basket of rolls had enough for 3 people, including a huge yummy croissant. Delicious. Everyone was so helpful with advice, esp when I left my cell phone downtown at a restaurant. And, I was able to print our boarding passes at the hotel, too, which relieved my stress as our Belmont schedule was tight. Their advice on restaurants was spot-on. We will stay again. Yes it is pricey, but it is a city and an above-average hotel in a super-convenient area. Worth it.

This is my favorite Marriott property to stay at in the Nashville area. It is conveniently located on West End directly in front of the Vanderbilt stadium. They have a complimentary managers reception every Wednesday night in the concierge lounge for gold and platinum Marriott members. There are lots of good restaurants in walking distance. They also have a nice shuttle available to take you beyond walking distance. (I believe it runs till 11) The lobby area is currently under construction, but they have it all walled off. It didn't interfere with my stay. I live in Knoxville and travel to Nashville several nights a month. I prefer to stay here whenever it falls within my corporate travel guidelines. Bruce Taylor

We stayed here with family....The tub had pubic hair in it! We tried to get our room changed but, the manager told us there were no more rooms available. He said he would come clean the bathroom himself but, we did not want to even use it after we found that! We tried talking to another manager the next morning but, he just told us they would give us free breakfast...which we did NOT want. I thought they should have at LEASTgiven us some credit towards the room but, they said since it was booked on Orbitz, they couldn't do anything....which is not true. Anyway...will NOT recommend this place to anyone.
