Nice hotel and person staf there was very helpful , I had a messages waiting for me in the reseptions since we where meeting up for a little TA meet with Ethelmaepotter and her husbond at 6 pm at a restaurant located near by and when we checked in the time was 5.45 pm ,the lovely lady called the restaurant and told them we where running late, but that we where at the hotel now and that we would just arravie as fast as we could :-)
Hotel lobby and rooms are inviting they have free internet connections there and in the lobby to use, great big hot indoors swimming pool which my kids tried out several time, Laudry service You can do Yourself which I did :-)
But reason this dosn´t get a high score from me is the breakfast , they had a one hot item there and that was a busquiet with a burger inside that You should heat in the microwave - so no pancakes or waffels :-( Coffee was good there thought and we could get it all day and night long if wanted. But I wished they could have done a little bit more about the breakfast since the place other wise was a great place to stay .

Room Tip: We always has high floors but probably all location on this place would have been good, but dosn´t t...

“Okay hotel. Prefer staying elsewhere in the Opryland area.”

I have been to this area of Nashville several times and have stayed at a few different hotels. We decided to stay at this Fairfield Inn because of trust in the Mariott brand and some photos on their site looked nice. This hotel looks much older in person than in photos. The rooms were okay and the beds were comfortable, but nothing stands out about this hotel and I wouldn't stay here again. I paid much less to stay at the Best Western Suites and the room there was nicer. The room does not have a couch, only two double beds (not even Queens). The air conditioning unit does not work very well and the breakfast is lame. Many of the items on the buffet were still frozen in the middle at 9am. Save some money and stay at the Best Western Suites instead.

“Not bad, but showing some wear and tear”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 August 2011

We stayed here three nights in August in a suite with two full-size beds. Room was clean but showing some wear and tear. Walls needed patched in a couple spots, bathroom door had a ding in it. Beds were not particularly comfortable, but the pillows were nice and fluffy. The room included a couch, chair, mini-fridge and two flat-screen TV's. Our kids enjoyed the pool, and the workout room was nice as well. The complimentary breakfast was typical fare, but everything was kept well-stocked and we enjoyed a big breakfast every morning. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and the check-in/check-out process was fast and efficient. Hotel is located near several restaurants and attractions. Be aware that the mall at Opryland is closed until 2012 due to the recent floods.

Thank you for taking the time to share. We at the Fairfield Inn Nashville Opryland take pride in our property, and we have recently been renovated. We feature granite counter tops in our bathrooms along with a clean fresh design. You can see this in the viewer submitted
photographs on this site and at our web site. We have all foam mattresses that Marriott has selected for us. You can rest assured that any skuffs or dings will be taken care of immediatly.

“Good Choice if going to the Opry”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 August 2011

Spent two nights here in August 2011 for a mini-family reunion and a trip to the Opry. Location is ideal for the Opry, Opryland hotel and the Opry Mills mall (had it not been destroyed in the flood - not sure if the mall will ever reopen, but construction of some sort was occurring) The rooms are nice, beds are two doubles or one King. Most hotels seem to have gone to two Queen beds, but the beds were comfortable. Two computers in the lobby and a nice, if not a bit too small breakfast area. Breakfast choices were the usual, but no waffle maker. The indoor pool is much larger than most hotels have and the workout room is okay. There is a shuttle to Opryland hotel, which is in walking distance and to the Opry, which is a bit further. The shuttle charges $5.00/person to go to the Opry and leaves about two hours before the show starts. This does not seem convenient, but may be a necessity if most people are taking the shuttle. It is less than a 2 mile drive to the Opry, so I am not sure why the hotel is charging so much for the shuttle. There is a huge parking lot at the now defunct mall and parking is free and very close to the Opry. There is plenty to do in the hotel area. There are several hotels, restaurants, bars with good bands, go-karts, mini-golf and an Ernest Tubb record shop/theatre. Staff was pleasant and helpful and I would be happy to stay at this Fairfield again.

Thank you for sharing your experince. Sorry for the confusion. The shuttle that goes to the Grand Old Opry is an independent service. We provide this information for folks who do not wish to drive.
