“Excellent value for the price.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 July 2011

This is the 2nd time we have used this hotel & I'm sure it won't be the last. The rooms do need some maintenance but they are clean & have everything you need. I see other people talking about the smell of food in the hallways of the hotel but I'm quite sure it's due to the fact that some people live here versus just staying on vacation. The 2 rooms we've stayed in have been very clean. This hotel is nowhere near upscale in any way but if you want a clean room at a decent price then this place is the best.

“NEVER COME HERE! EVER!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 July 2011

Due to little availability elsewhere, we wound up at this hotel. It was by far the most disgusting hotel either of us had ever been in! To start with, we are out from out of town and when we attempted to call the front desk for directions (from maybe 15 minutes away), the woman who answered the phone couldn't seem to figure out where we were located given the street names. Shouldn't anyone who answers the phone at a hotel be familiar with the area? When we arrived, said woman gave us a tough time about presenting a confirmation email (the room had previously been booked online). We couldn't present one because it was on my friend's phone, which had died while we were lost (hence, why we called for directions). Once everything was finally settled (felt like it took forever) we headed down the stairs to our room and discovered a horrendous stench - old smoke mixed with some sort of food (I guessed seafood). When we walked into our room, the first thing we noticed was an enormous stain on the entryway carpet - classy. Then the (what we can only assume was) mold above the shower caught our eye, as did the stains all over the kitchen and bathroom counters (cigarette burns maybe?). The room also smelled DISGUSTING! Apparently we were given a smoking room (we did not request this). When my friend attempted to call the front office and ask if we could switch to a non-smoking room, she was told, "No but I'll call you if there's a cancellation." Excellent solution when we're only here for 1 night, especially after being stuck in a car for around 12 hours.. After this tremendous let-down, we attemepted to get online only to discover that we had to pay $4.99 to use the Wi-Fi. In 2011. Then when I went to wash my face, I found 2 human hairs in/on the hand towel - not mine. Also, the carpet feels disgusting under your feet - almost as if your feet are sticking to it. As my friend pulled down the comforter to get into bed, she discovered multiple long, black hairs - that was the final straw! We returned to the front desk to express our utter disgust with this sorry excuse for a hotel. We asked to be refunded but were told that because my friend used credit card rewards points to pay for a portion of the room, nothing could be done. We were basically told, "Sucks to be you. I can't do anything about it." COMPLETELY unacceptable customer service!! Finally the front desk lady offered to let us switch to a (somewhat) better room - even though she had previously told us there were no other options. Truly, DO NOT COME HERE! It is absolutely disgusting. I am counting down the hours until I'm home and can shower multiple times to get this filth off of me!!!

“Yuck and double yuck”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 June 2011

As we walked into the lobby, there was a person (not sure if male or female) sleeping/passed out in the lobby. Waited almost 10 minutes to check in, all the while counting the cobwebs hanging in the entrance area and trying to convince my kids it wasn't "that" bad. After paying for the room and walking up to it, we walked straight back down and got our money back. In all my years of traveling around the world, this is the first time I have ever walked out of a hotel without staying at it. The stairways and halls stunk like old food, trash and cigarettes. The room was nasty-stains everywhere, paint peeling, gross carpet (drat! Was in such a hurry to get out that I forgot to take pictures!). After we left, I couldn't wait to take a shower. I felt dirty having just sat on the couch for a few minutes in order to pull up Priceline on the iPad in order to find a new place to stay. It was that bad. Definitely not what I expected based on the reviews on here. About the only good thing I have to say is that the clerk asked no questions, just credited my account. He was very polite about it.

“Close to the highway”

If you are on a budget and want a nice cozy place, this is it. NOW its a oil dated and its not the Ritz but the staff is nice and my room was clean. That's all I expect for the price I paid.

“Better than expected for the money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 March 2011

I have stayed at one of the sister hotels before and received a $20-off coupon thru email for a 2 - 6 night stay. Found this hotel at a very low rate, in a safe area of town and decided to take advantage of the coupon and have a "girls weekend". Lots of room, fast internet, and good, prompt customer service. Will stay here again.
