As a little pre christmas treat i was surprised with a nights stay in the hotel with dinner. Upon arrival we were made to feel very welcome. We arrived before our arrival time and were shown to the bar where we had two pints of guinness, the bar man was very curtious and was chatting away which was very natural.
The rooms are quaint and very atmospheric, there is a tv and coffee making facilities. The cleaninless was good and also just warm enough.
Dinner was fabulous, good choice of wines on offer and the food was excellent along with the service. Food here is enough to bring me back again if i was ever in Cavan in the future.
Its a hotel with character and excellent food with staff to go with it. I will defniatly be visiting it again and maybe for two nights

I was recovering from an appendectomy I had some weeks before, when my wife booked a weekend in the Park Hotel. We enjoyed two nights in a comfortable room, which was warm and homely.
The dining room was fabulous with some great equestrian paintings. The marble sculptings decorating the house were amazing.
Our meals can only be described as heavenly, the dinners were decorated like works of art and had taste to match.
A walk along the shore of lake Ramore brings you back to a forest path which leads up to the hotel. There is an adjacent golf course which we did not take advantage of, but will do in the future. We will certainly be back to the Park Hotel.
Once small quibble, having received the wine list at dinner, we were told a lot of wines were off the list.

When you come off the road and into the grounds of this hotel you can feel the stress and angst of everyday life start to ease. By the time you have checked in and reached your room its even better. A coffee or drink on the terrace overlooking the rosegarden deals with any remaining "life" issues and you can truly relax.

Food in the Park Hotel is a treat, from the tasty breakfast, through to the excellent evening meal all provided by friendly, efficient and knowledgeable staff. Surrounded by woodland and overlooking a lake there are some wonderful walks for those looking to explore. For those staying closer to home in the bar or on the terrace they can be assured of a warm and friendly service. I have been a regular visitor to the hotel since 2005 and have yet to have a bad experience.

Grand stay for the halloween festival. We stayed the friday night and he halloween walk was on in the hotel grounds.Rooms were a bit small but had a big tv which was good.Pancakes at breakfast were yummy and the staff were very nice.
