We traveled to Memphis to visit our college daughter. We checked in and the next morning we were asked to sign a paper that said the water would be turned off to fix a leak. It was not, but was the next day. Then we were told it would be off the next day. It wasn"t, but was the next day, and the day after that. We spent basically our whole week trying (unsuccessfully) to schedule our days around not being able to use our room during the day.. When we complained we were told it was no different than if we had a water problem at home in our own house! Well excuse me, I am not paying the hotel to stay in my house! We paid for a hotel room that we were not able to use during the day for almost the whole week we were there, and were not told it would be for repeated days all week. The hotel management could not understand why this was a problem! Memphis has a lot of great hotels, but this is not one of them!

I stayed one night at this hotel while driving through TN. I checked in around 2am and checked out at 11am. When I got home and checked my credit card, I noticed that I had been billed twice. I figured no big deal, I will just call and have change credit my account. I called the front desk and was told by the person that only a manager could credit my account. I asked to speak to the manager and was told they weren't in right now but would be in later. They agreed to pass along my information. The day went by with no calls so I called back that afternoon - was told the manager had the note but was in/out and would call me back later. Next day, still no call from the hotel. I called back again and still no manager available. Left a message. Next day, I called the hotel again and asked for a manager but was told no one was there. All-in-all I called the hotel for 3 days and left messages and never received a call back from the manager. I called the corporate Choice Hotels guest relations line and filed a complaint against the hotel. I finally received a call back from the guest relations (not the hotel) saying that the hotel has agreed to credit my account. This process took 1 WEEK to take care of. RIDICULOUS.

DON'T STAY HERE.

Steal childrens' money if left in room, how cruel can they be...toilet doesn't work right...beds are hard, cover is old and stained, very dirty looking. Manager is no help at all...I thought the customer is top priority, not here employyes come first even if they are theives! This whole setting is rude and will not stay here again...Dirty...bad place! I will make sure to let all my buisness associates and family know to never stay here anymore.

Spent the weekend here with my spouse. The hotel is in a very odd location as it sits directly behind a Costco with only a couple of signs pointing you in the direction of the hotel. However, it's very close to shopping centers and several nice restaurants. It shares a fairly small parking lot with a Microtel and we occassionally had trouble finding a place to park in the evenings. They also had portions of the lot roped off for maintenance. The lady that checked us in was extremely nice but the rest of the staff didn't seem very friendly at all. The rooms were decent and clean although the bathrooms, hallways and lobby had signs of wear (elevator is SLOW) Pool area was decent but whirlpool was too hot and suffocating even with the window open for ventilation. They really need to turn that thing down a few degrees. Probably would not stay here again unless it was the only place available in the area.
