I stayed at this hotel for the first time last week and I have to say I was more than thrilled with the experience. Being a true blue Hilton Honors member I am all about the points so finding out that there was indeed a Hampton in this area was perfect. As with all the Hamptons I stay at the breakfast (free!) is the best part of my day. Being that you usually don't know the area - being able to walk downstairs and make a big fluffy waffle all of your very own just makes my day start out perfect! The staff was very nice and bursting with "southern hospitality". I found my room (brand new) to be very clean and after reading the reviews on here about train noise..I must say I didn't hear a thing!

Stayed there for one night for business. I was disappointed. I didn't lay down to sleep until very late and i felt like the sheets and linens weren't cleaned. Smelled like someone else's body odor! A business colleague had the same complaint. The rooms were worn and the bed didn't seem up to Hampton standards. (I almost always stay in Hilton products)

The staff was very helpful and friendly. We had rented the conference room the following day and since we had a few rooms booked that night, the conference room was comped. This was much appreciated.

The breakfast seemed a cut above other Hampton s, so kudos on a great breakfast.

I would probably stay again, but I would check the sheets right away to see of they pass the "smell test"

We were disappointed in Hampton inn for the first time. This must have been a remodeled other hotel as it was not the newly built Hampton Inn we have grown to love.

It was clean, the service was not up too par but by far a train all night every hour?

We like Hampton Inns but this room must be the smallest we've ever been in. Not only the sleeping area, but the bathroom was small for my wife and I to maneuver around in. But, most important, it was clean and thanks to TripAsvisor members we requested a room on the backside, away from the trains!

At breakfast, we were pleased to find what we felt were a wider variety of choices - not just breads, apples and powdered or flying saucer eggs (although the eggs here had the customary powdered/pellet look). If Hampton Inns are supposed to have standard fare, the answer is they really don't. The presentation was great here with items spread out over three counters around the dining area so we didn't keep bumping into each other like it was a food trough on the farm.

MOST IMPORTANT TAKE-AWAY: Request back side to avoid trains at night!
