The food was the best thing about our stay. The building has a lot of character but some of the rooms could use a makeover. The mattress needed to be replaced in our room. The room could actually use a complete makeover. The upholstery on the furniture has seen better days. If you like daily maid service, you may not enjoy staying here. We stayed over a weekend and there was no housekeeping. I've stayed in several B&Bs and have always had the bed made and fresh linens each day. For the price we paid, average of $180 per night with taxes and fees, I expected a little more from the Stone Fort Inn.

We had a wonderful stay. Room was great. Breakfast was incredible. James and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay with them again in the future.

The StoneFort Inn is way beyond the best hotel ecperience! Everyone at the StoneFort Inn is so welcoming and personable! My new husband and I went for our honeymoon and we felt like we were seeing old friends!! James and Dee were AMAZING!! Brian made the best breakfast! Johnny was awesome! Everyone was very accommodating. the rooms were so beautiful and european and vintage and luxurious! We loved everything from the history of the building to the location in the city to the grand piano in the luxurious sitting room to the overstuffed beds to the friends you make! We can't WAIT to come back!

Looking for a unique place to stay in Chattanooga for a romantic getaway - I highly recommend the Stone Fort Inn. Lots of charm here -rooms with balcony, fireplace, soaking tubs. It is a B&B but still provides the full privacy that a hotel would offer.

Only downside is it is slightly off the beaten path, but it is still an easy walk to all the great offerings of downtown Chattanooga.

I will definitely return to the Stone Fort Inn.
