We couldn't find anything in Rapid City and when we did, it was at least $289 and up. This motel is clean and neat. Vizio TV, WIFI internet, fridge, microwave, pool, what more could you want? Great location and friendly owner. Loved it, will recommend it and will be staying again! You get what you pay for and at $69.95, you can beat this place!

if you're looking for a cheap place to stay, this place is it. Service was great, and the owner super friendly. Only downfall, older place and can hear lots of traffic. But definitely worth the money. Couldn't find a cheaper place for the money, and it was worth it. would come back!! Also- close to Mount rushmore and major roadways for sight seeing...

I was helping my young sister move cross country and we were looking for a place to sleep last-minute somewhere along I-90. We wanted to be close enough to Mt. Rushmore to see it quickly in the morning before we hit the road again. We came across this place through our GPS. Very easy to find, and close to Rushmore.
We arrived past 10. The owner was up waiting for us. He was extremely nice in a grandfatherly way. Here we were, in the "downtown" part of Rapid City, two young ladies from out of town. He showed concern for our safety traveling this way, but not in a condescending way at all. He just wanted to make sure we were well taken care of under his watch. We were touched.
The accomodations are equal to the price you pay. It is far from a five star place, but fine enough for us. And it was very clean.
Of all the places we stayed at between Washington State and Michigan, it's the owner of this place that will stick with us and we definitely will come back, if only to say 'hi' to the incredibly nice owner again!

Our first time driving trip to the Badlands-Black Hills area--we booked this hotel over the phpne-site unseen-just from pics on internet---we gambled & lucked in!!!---very friendly owner-very reasonable rates --location is excellent in old downtown Rapid City--right across form police station--rooms are fine-yes the non-smoking room did smell of smoke --I think becasue the walls are a bit thin & smoke leaks from other rooms--but still would recommend this place to anyone-clean-fridge & microwave & very handy location-can walk to some of the bars or ice cream place--we made this our place to overnight(4nights)when doing day trips through the Badlands/Wall/Black Hills/Sturgis/Deadwood/ SpearFish/Crazy Horse Memorial etc etc--it was great!!!
Would stay again--pool was fine for a cooling dip after long hot days touring & walking !!!
