I had read some really bad reviews from this hotel and was prepared for the worst. Instead, the rooms were spacious and had two sink areas, a real bonus. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms even had screen doors, which made it seem like little apartments. It was as clean as any other motel I've stayed at. The people at the counter were not overly friendly, but they did help us in what we needed. The air conditioner leaked and got the carpet wet, so there was a musty smell to the room, but it wasn't a major deal. The location is close to the Badlands, which makes it convenient. The price isn't a tremendous value for what you get, but they may have increased it because of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally going on then. The restaurant next door was unremarkable, and the breakfast the hotel provided was only bland cereal, juice, and milk. Still, there are not great hotels in the area, and this one was probably one of the best.

Whole heartedly agree with other that paned this motel. My door did not just stick..It required a shoulder to close and to open. Had stale and moldy smell perhaps in part because of using a 50 year old wall A/C. Continental breakfast was service at the restaurant next door obviously with the intent to get you to eat at their restaurant. However, the restaurant seems in similar condition to the motel.

If you are coming from the east, keep driving to Wall to find clean motels. Coming from the West, keep going to Murdo!

Starting at $70, it is not a bargain..

We stopped in here without any advance planning on the way to Badlands. About 1/2 hour east of the park. It was late so I didn't look at the small pool. The rooms were for the most part clean. You pull right up to door of your room. The room was fine. Had an 3rd bed and an extra sink. So that was convenient. The breakfast at adjoining restaurant was very skimpy. Other than that....it's fine for a short stay.

when you get to Kadoka, forgo the other 2 motels right on the freeway, and drive south into town to find the cleanest, best run motel in the area,,, Although the first impression is one of a 1950 motel, the interior has been updated, and are first rate.. this fine motel offers better beds, nicer personnel, cleaner rooms and an all around better value than any motel we have used in the last 2 years. highly recommended. we will stay there again, now that we found it...
