Well it is every bit of a roach motel. Foot indention's on the wall. the lovely roaches are the biggest I have ever seen and the broken furniture/fixtures should have made us demand our exorbitant rate ( 75.00!!!!) that we paid back but the Nearly non functioning AC unit and Broken beds should have made us run for the hills. No one got a comfortable nights rest and we headed out early just to get relief from the heat- at least the car has good air conditioning. Exceptionally SLOW check in - the check in lady was reading the provided credit card and HER COMPUTER with a MAGNIFYING GLASS!!! NOT worth the money- there are a BUNCH of cheaper, NICER motels at the next exit- even next to the cracker barrel, do yourself a favor and go there.

We stopped here on our way to VA Beach. Hubby was starting to get tired so we stopped at the 1st Wyndom Family place available. We should have waited to find a Days Inn!
The staff was very friendly. There's the good thing! The room was bad. The carpet had greasy boot prints all over it. There was minimal TV reception.... everything was fuzzy. The Wifi was non-existent. We even went to the desk and were informed that although they have Wifi..... the walls are concrete and rebarb so the signals are bad! LOL I live in FL and my house is all concrete and we have Wifi no prob...... my neighbors even steal my wifi. LOL Whatta crock!
There was dried urine on the toilet. No soap or shampoos. There was a microwave but there was a really old pizza slice on cardboard in it. There were no towels in the room so we had to go to the desk to get them. The safety lock was broken. There were cobwebs near the ceiling and dirt in the corners of the room. There was also a piece of balled up toilet tissue on the floor nect to the toilet.... which had hair and dirt around it. The pool is smaller than the one in my yard.
I would have to write a novel about the filthiness of this place. I could not possibly fit it all on here.
Oh and it is not QUIET. We were there with sewer and construction workers who obviously thought my 13 year old daughter was cute. They were nasty and it was all I could do to keep hubby from going out to shut them up. The desk did nothing to stop them. I think they are more geared to transient workers than to families.

Second trip heading down to Florida to close on our new home/property. Previously, we had stopped at Santee, SC and stayed at HoJo - not pleasing at all. This time we decided to drive down a little farther and stopped at Walterboro and stay at Motel 8 because we have a small dog. The motel was clean, walking distance from KFC, McDonalds, several other eateries and a decent place to stay for 1 night. Even my little gal was pleased with the stay. For one night I would definitely stay there once again. Recommendation - get your hotel coupon book at the McDonald across from the hotel prior reserving room or stop at one of visitors center on your trip down.

It says on here $30-32 but I'm pretty sure we paid $48 for a Wednesday night when we reserved it online. The hotel was fairly packed. It is right off of the Interstate. The management both that night and the next day were not very pleasant. Overall, the room was clean and suitable for a one night's stay. Just remember to bring all off your toiletries because the only thing they supply you with is soap...nothing else.
