We stayed one night in this hotel on our way home from Disney. We picked it solely on where we would be when we ran out of steam driving home that night. We got the last double room they had for myself, wife, and 3 kids. When we arrived in the room ready to just pass out around 12:30 AM we discovered that there were only 2 pillows for a room with a king bed and 2 pull out couches and the pull out couches had opened and the beds made with sheets and blankets. We called the front desk and let them know we didn't have any pillows, they then called back and asked us to check the dresser drawers. We did and there were no pillows so they sent 4 pillows to our room. Then the next morning when we went to take a shower we could only find 2 hand towels, no bath towels or wash clothes. So we again called the front desk and asked for 6 bath towels as our room didn't have any. We didn't think anything of it when we checked out as we've stayed in lots of hotels and things aren't always there and it's no big deal. The next day while we're driving we get a call from an employee that we stole their towels and pillows. They said they brought us 4 extra pillows and 6 extra towels and they weren't in the room. They claimed the room had 8 pillows (4 on the king, 2 for each pull out in the dresser drawers with the sheets and blankets), 6 full sets of both towels, hand towels, and wash clothes before they brought us any extras. They also claim they don't make the pull out couches up, but they were made. They told us all they found in the room was 6 pillows, 6 bath towels, and 2 hand towels, but are claiming we have to pay for 4 pillows, and 6 bath towels, the exact number they brought to our room. If we had stolen their awful pillows and towels then they should be charging us for more than that given their original numbers, so I believe they just think we're out-of-towners who they can try to take advantage of and make pay an extra $135, but we'll be fighting this with our credit card company and with reviews and if necessary a lawyer (which they will be footing the bill for when they lose). Also, you might like to know how unprofessional their general manager is. Here's his email in its entirety that I wouldn't let my kids turn in as a homework assignment let alone expect from a business where I was a customer of theirs:
"we are informing u that we are missing 4 pillows and 6 Bath Towels from the room No.216 u stayed in on 11/26/10. So we are charging u $135.00 for that. We bring u 4 pillows at midnight by Amit and 6 towels in the morning by Samntha. U can give us a call on (843-538-5473) for any further discussion.
thanks
