“INFESTED With BED BUGS!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 December 2011

The only good thing.....was Roger, the front desk guy....he was nice....
I had no succss conecting to the internet for more then 2 minutes.
I even walked around the grounds with my laptop trying to get a connection...
He tried to help.....personally I don't think they had guest internet available. I managed to get a connection in a closer room off the offices personal internet.....so I changed rooms.....then the internet crapped out totally. I guess like the hot water....they turn it off to save money.
I had been on the road since 5am......tired & wanting a hot shower....but was told it was only turned on at 10pm so save money.
My mother had been asleep for about 1.50hrs. (SHE was the one that drove all day) as I layed there playing Angry Birds on my phon with nothing but the glow of the TV....I saw a shadow movement on my pillow....I turned the flashlight on my phone on to see the bed TEAMING WITH LIFE!!! FULL OF BUGS!!! I shot out of bed like a rocket in panic mode....to which my mother woke up...we threw everything we had on, including a fleece blanket & a pillow into a black garbage bag and sealed it up. .......when we went to the front desk in panic I was crying.....the desk guy couldn't understand why I was crying and upset...I told him the room was INFESTED with bugs , BED BUGS!!! He said back in India they just flick them off or put them in soapy water....IM NOT IN INDIA DUDE!!! Soap DOES NOT KILL BED BUGS!!! temperatures of over 130 degress does....or months of freezing temps, they are like cockroaches, almost impossible to kill!!!
He offered us another room, said he never had any complaits about bugs before. 1. Of course you aren't going to admit it..... 2. If people are SLEEPING THEY ARENT GOING TO SEE THEM!!! They come out for blood in the dark and the bites only come out a couple days later in itchy blisters!!!
If I had not seen one....I can't even imagine WHAT we would both look like....would we have any blood left for us??? Any skin?
My vacation down here in Daytona has been nothing but ONE BIG ITCHY uncomfortableness!!! I have over 60 bites. :( I counted 28 bites alone just on my right arm (the side I was lying on) beore I gave up counting.
That is a SERIOUS infestation guy!!! Calling an extermnator (if he even did) for ONE room is NEVER going to cure your cootie problem......they go through wall sockets, cracks, they can hide in clock radios......etc......all it takes is one!
So if anyone is considering staying at this shiiz hole.......check your bed. Just looking between the wall & box spring I saw EVERY stage of a bed bugs life from Larvae to adulthood. GROSS!!!
When I asked for my money back he didnt want to, he gave $20 of the $38 & change we paid, telling us it was from his own pocket & not the hotels money as they dont refund. I just wanted to get the hell out of there.......so off we went at 11:20pm to hit the road.
Thanks Summerton Inn for one of the WORST experiences I have ever had.
Will you pay for my cleaning? Will you give me my money back? Good thing I live in Canada ":EH?" .....so when I get home I can leave all my belongings outside to freeze any little bugger that g in my stuff!!!
ALSO in the discount guide you get at the rest areas...their add lists that there is a restaurant & a lounge, which is what attracted me, maybe a snack & a beer.....but there was no such thing, hsnt been open for a while. False advertisement.

“HORRIBLE!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 September 2011

The guy at the front desk was nasty, had a bad cold.
the room was smelly, I was afraid to turn the AC on,
the bed smelled, like somebody didnt sleep there over 10 years.
The guy told us that there was no hot water in the night time, to keep the electro bills down!
and can only use hot water from 5 am till 10 am.
the swimming pool looked like a green pound. we didnt see the bottom or the fishes. but it most be in there somewhere...
YEAH DO NOT EVER SLEEP HERE!
