This is the place for casual quick shrimp, hushpuppies, you get the picture. Love it. Not fancy but real nice place to be. Not a very exciting place for a BLT, but that was probably a bad choice on my part.

Order the shrimpburger. Unique local eatery. There are several steps to order, however there is seating on ground level.

We decided to stop at this side of the road, small restaurant on our way back from Hunting Island, SC. It doesn't look like much in or out, but the food is so fresh I couldn't believe it. The one cook said it comes from right across the road where shrimp boats were parked at the dock. I can't wait to go back to SC and head straight over to the Shrimp Shack for more of their cooking. Hush puppies were the best I've had!!

The shrimp burgers are excellent. It's a roadside diner with seating inside and outside and screened porches. Don't expect more than a good sandwich and you won't be disappointed. We sat outside on a beautiful day and it was delightful.

Not worth the drive unless you're visiting Hunting Island, or perhaps the Penn Center and are willing to drive another 15 minutes out of your way. If you are, though, you should stop. Who knows, maybe you'll see Pat Conroy. He lives on nearby Fripp Island.
