“All-time family fun”

MB KOA is def a must! For 8+ yrs now, faithfully we stay only here while visiting the beach. We have an RV with slideouts & the sites are spacious. The staff are friendly & helpful. Loads of fun for the family, convienent to ocean, restaurants & drug stores & a block away from Family Kingdom. They offer tons of activities for the kids, adults, too. If you are an expert or novice camper- this is a place to call home away from home. Come stay soon @ the MB KOA- we will see you soon! :)

“very nice”

After spending a week at pirateland we moved to the KOA and here as we write this review for another 14 days the diffrence is night and day the campground is treed with some privacy has the feeling of a state park and is safe and very quiet. The site we picked is a end unit(129) with good views of the inlet and large, at pirateland, oceanlakes, lakewoods, this site would have 2 rv's in it.The KOA is re-investing unlike the others in Myrtle beach with a new huge washroom and some more in the planning. The staff are all very nice. The people here are walking around and not driving golf carts. We Will definatly return
The only issue was the $5.00 one time, per pet charge which I dont agree with but paid but they do have a small pet play area, it would be nice if some pet poop bag stations where put in around the campsite but here people are picking up after thier pets unlike pirateland where we seen numerious people just walking away from thier dog crap. We had excellent WiFi and having a small fire ring was a bonus to be able to have a small fire at night. keep up the good work.

“Great for families”

We stayed here in June 2011. There were 10 of us on our pop-up site and we had plenty of space. There were tons of children's activities. Take your bicycle this is a big campground. It is located in a great place, it is just behind Magic Kingdom. Easy in and out with a red light one block over. The beach is a little more than a walk away because of a 4 lane road and traffic. You cannot see the beach from the campground. The only issues we had were cold showers and not enough lighting after night. The campground also doesn't have clear paths to get to the bathhouses, so you have to walk through other campsites. Overall, this is a great place for families they have clean pools, arcade, bouncy pillow and activities. We will stay again.

Room Tip: camp near inlet to be close to everything

“Clean and Convenient!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 August 2011

My daughter and I tent camped at the Myrtle Beach KOA for one night last week...and it was a terrific experience. We used this site as a pit stop on our way down to a wedding in Edisto Island, and we'll definitely be back.

The folks at the front office were extremely helpful and nice. There were not many other tent campers there that night so we got our pick...and they gave us guidance as to which sites were the best.

The actual site itself was very nice, shaded, and clean. We selected tent site G since it was fairly close to the bathrooms. The location was great. Since it wasn't too crowded I was able to let my daughter ride her bike around the two "streets" adjacent to us by herself while I got camp set up.

We didn't have time to check out all the ammenities, but we did use the pool and the jumping pillow, which were nice. We tried to do a hayride, but it didn't coincide with the day we were there.

The showers and bathrooms were fine. Nothing to write home about...but they were clean.

The location was perfect. It is on a quiet street, about 2.5 blocks from the beach. We brought our bikes and were in the sand in no time. We also got to check out the mini golf, which is about 100 yards from the entrance of the KOA.

All in all, we had a terrific time and will definitely be back.
