This was our first time camping at this facility. We arrived later in the evening and their night registration procedure was very organized - knew exactly where to go, helpful as it was raining. Office Staff (Manager) the next morning was extremely helpful when our A/C was out on our trailer. They quickly accomodated a request for a cabin (air conditioned) and saved my wife's Birthday & Anniversary Camping Trip! All staff members were friendly and helpful, and kept the facility clean and in excellent condition. We are planning a return trip in October once our A/C is fixed and will be bringing the grandchildren. Lots to do both at the campground and in the surrounding area.

We just recently stayed at this KOA in a class A Motorhome, and had a wonderful experience. Clean roomy, and a wonderful walking/biking trail.

I know some reviewers have talked about an ant problem. I am happy to report we did not see any

I haven't been camping in years, but figured I'd try again. The KOA in Mt. Pleasant is a great facility, I was extremely impressed with how clean they keep the bathrooms, showers, etc. The campground near the lake, we tented, was very picturesque. It was very quiet at night (almost too quiet) and the staff was extremely friendly. It's location is great for Isle of Palms as well as Charleston and it is priced very well.

The only negative is what others mentioned. The Ants!! They were everywhere, although they were mostly a tickling nuisance and not the fire variety.

Traveling were myself, girlfriend, her mother, and two children 9 and 12. We stayed at a tent site, no electric, lakeside. The stay was mostly ok. We stayed from Wednesday until Sunday. Complained about ants every day, but they didn't spray until more people showed up on Friday. Even then, there were still a ton of ants. The showers were dirty. Gross dirty. The prep area before you get in the actual shower had no floor drain and there was just standing water. They were not cleaned in the time we were there. It was pretty quiet at night. Had a few campers that just let their young children roam around, and that was annoying. Don't set aside time in your afternoon for the hayride. Its not really worth planning for. Just a wagon ride back to the house, which isn't the original house. I was upset we left downtown charleston for that. No stops or any history about the plantation. Just a ride.

Great location though. Only minutes away from most things.
