On a recent trip into northern South Carolina, we stopped in at Landrum and felt that we'd found a well-kept secret! If you enjoy Hendersonville or Black Mountain, NC, you will also enjoy Landrum, SC. It's not as large as those two towns and not as well publicized, but it holds several nice restaurants, one or two book stores, thrift stores, antique shops, and home decor stores. We had a great lunch in the Hare and the Hound, and we especially enjoyed looking around the Amish Furniture Store (which has real Amish merchandise from another of our favorite areas, Holmes County, Ohio).
