This hotel is just on the west side of downtown Columbia, near the restaurants on Gervais St. and not too far from the Statehouse. The big problem is traffic. Both streets at the intersection have several lanes with lots of traffic, all in a hurry to get someplace. If you plan to walk anywhere, you have to do some planning, as some of these streets have sections with no sidewalk.

The hotel itself is fine, with nice rooms (although you can't open the windows). They have a small guest laundry (one washer and one dryer). The breakfast was outstanding with fresh scrambled eggs, bacon and biscuits. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I stayed here while visiting cousins in Columbia. The front desk staff were as sweet as could be; knowledgeable and very helpful.
The lobby is spacious and attractive, and the hotel amenities are great. Excellent internet, delicious breakfast (lovely staff), and comfortable and quiet rooms.

I've stayed here a few time for business. Next time, I'll check out other hotels in the area. If you stay off the road side of the hotel it's fine. If you stay on the side next to the main road be prepared for LOUD traffic all night long.

It's clean and not a bad place but the road noise is terrible.

From registering the front desk was excellent, Brian checked us in and even called the room to make sure everything was alright!! The room was beautiful and comfortable.
The breakfast the next morning was delicious!!! The ladies who kept things flowing were very nice and pleasant. Even when a guest dropped the bacon on the floor and walked away these ladies didn't even complain!!! This says a lot for the people you have working for you!! You hire the best and it shows!! Keep up the good work and customer service.
