Driving into the parking lot and seeing the moss hanging from the trees and looking out over the marsh gave me a sense of peace. I met 2 other friends there for a quiet getaway and shopping retreat. The staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions to local restaurants and shopping. They treated us as if we were guests in their homes. The facility was very clean. The hotel was centrally located to be convenient to the downtown historical Beaufort area as well as access to the roads to Hilton Head and other shopping malls. I would suggest the carriage ride thru Beaufort while you are there. Well worth the hour to find out little tidbits about the houses. We will definately make this one of our most favorite places to meet.

Great location, lovely grounds, but the rooms were very tired . I've stayed here a number of times, but don't think I'll return. The carpets were stained and worn, and the furniture was in bad shape. The staff was very nice. If the place was updated, it would be top-notch.

Stayed here for 2 days during the Water Festival, waiting to check into a beach condo. The place is probably the nicest place, for the money, if you are in town for an event or MCRD graduation. The staff is friendly and helpful (we did have some problem getting the front desk to pick up their phone...very busy, hot weekend). The rooms are well-appointed and clean, the free breakfast was fine, and the air conditioning worked very well (important here!). Lots of chain restaurants close, close to Parris Island and beach (as well as Hilton HeadN Charleston and Savannah), and tons of cool historical sites close. And then...the beautiful beaches! This hotel is a good place for a short stay.

Stayed here for the 4th time for a Beaufort weekend. Great breakfast and king size room with marsh views. Elsie at check in accepted the $89/night hotel coupon book rate via reservation the night before. Nice location off Boundary Street. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Beaufort.
